"It was so easy for me because the more balls I had juggling, the better I felt."

What a statement! I was reading this and it does remind me of me. Although, I complaint about workload but I like to take on a few things at one go that it becomes really weird if I have only one thing to depend on. Perhaps that's the reason why I must still study when I am working. If I have to work alone it would be weird, studying seems to add a different flavour to my life. However, I doubt those around me will feel the same way.

Anyway, the whole month of January has been a busy month and like what my buddy Levina says I like to be kept busy. However, not good to be busy all the time because there is no time to reflect and really re-think and that's why I like holidays! =)

So how what has Ms.Busy been up to see below :

1. I am taking Greek class now. Yes you read it right Greek. So the next time someone say are you speaking Greek? I might just turn round and say yes! Planning to complete the course which takes a year and yes its on Credit meaning its like college where there are test, mid sem exams and final exam. ("Just Great!")

2. In the midst of finish of my T4 CIMA paper. Unfortunate for me and though I hate to admit it. I have flunk my paper and just to make myself feel slightly better I needed one more mark to pass so yes I needed just one more mark to pass!! This adds another point to why I want to study in the US instead of the UK. So rigid!! However am quite grateful that the case study this round is also on an industry that I am quite comfortable with.

3. Oh yes and this month I will be sitting for my Certificate in AML and CFT paper. I have an assignment due this Friday and an exam at the end of the month. If I have the time to squeeze I would want to take up the Advanced Certificate which will run for 9 months. Longer duration to the one I am currently taking.

4. I will be flying to Hong Kong this month for work assignment but am so glad that I have the privileged to be able to bring Levina along. Flying up a day earlier to check the place out and its nice to be able to have company. =) So that's a whole week and certainly means more work to finish before I leave and more work when I come back =( But I guess its quite a rare opportunity and am thankful that eventhough I am just a low rank officer in the bank, God has given me the opportunity.

5. Lunch breaks are little walk and jog time. Have started going with my colleague to the bank's gym. Really quite refreshing eventhough its just an hour.

6.Visiting!!! It's been a month of visiting and meeting up. Met up with friends who are with YWAM who are back for CNY holidays, relatives, Convent friends and yesterday with the TARC CFers. Its really nice to meet up with everyone again. Hehe!!! Glad that we can go "pai nin" every year.

That pretty much sums up I everything I guess. For a person who complaints quite a bit, God has really been merciful. His love endures forever. Going to miss the public holidays....... May faster come!!! =)

Whether you are a caterpillar or a little bird or a human, change is inevitable. The responsibilities, the circumstances each day are bound to be different. Yet many a times the idea of change just sends a feeling of dislike.

Its just like Inertia. It resists any change in its motion. Sometimes we are just the same. I know that I take comfort in knowing the familiar. Moving out of the things you commonly do is sometimes one of the hardest thing to do. Strangely enough, right from young we are always doing things that are different yet change is still something that throws us off course.

I really wonder why this should be the case. I have been trying to adapt to change. To go through as much change so that probably one day I will be immune to change and be able to adapt to change in just a split of a second. (Wonder if that is possible)

Well, imagine hanging out with a group of people that's minimum 10 years your senior. Joining them for CF, working with them and even going for mini trips. Yes, there are times I ask myself what for? But yet if I don't adapt to change I never will. I would probably be sulking the whole time through and letting those precious years pass without saying that I did something meaningful during those years because I refuse to step out and do something about it.

At least at the end of the day if I fail, I know that I have given it my best shot. Knowing that I have given my best, and tried putting together is better than not trying at all.

New Living Translation (©2007)
Don't let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Well, although I am the youngest right now in almost everything I do but this will not stop me for being who I am. I guess it challenges me even more and probably that is what keeps me going.

Went out with my colleagues yesterday for a mini trip to Broga. Although it was quite a different experience then when I go out with people my age, I have to say that it was indeed quite an experience.

New International Version (©1984)
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

What is most important is knowing that God is in control above all. Knowing that my failures is just a small matter to Him and that He is there all the way.

Jess, Sok Ling and me back in 2006

It was a good meet up session with one of my craziest ever college mate (None other than Jess). True to itself she manage to get the entire restaurant attention. She really has a big big heart and thanks to the internal instant messaging system we have in the Bank, I am still able to keep in touch with her. She's probably one of the only people around where I work that keeps my sanity. Being in the working world where everyone's from a different generation is really heart warming to be able to talk to someone who's from the same wave length.

Sad to say that we are working different hours and at different locations. She's based in Cyberjaya while I am in the heart of KL and while she works in UK time, I am working in Malaysian time. Its been ages since I last met her, and although we could keep in touch on-line its quite different to be able to meet her face-to-face.

Well, lately I have been hearing a lot about how the 'older' generation spend their youth it dawn upon me that my youth is far slipping away and if I continue to wait I will never be able to say I had a fruitful 'youth hood'. I am proud to say that I never regretted my childhood neither did I regret my College days, I believe I have live it to the fullest (in my own understanding) and since I stepped in the working world, I have allowed circumstances to get the best of me. No more of that!

To mark that I am going to live everything to the fullest and to inject back life into my years here on earth, I have poured in hope. I have started taking mandarin classes. (Not those where you learn how to read, write and soon a scholar) Its a bit taxing as I have to rush for class after work and to wait for the all wonderful KTM and reach home slightly after 11pm and get up again the next day for work. (Mind you the horrible KTM can make you late eventhough you arrive at the station at 7.12am as the train can come as late as 8.30pm) What other steps I will be taking well as time goes by I will blog about it.

Oh! I watched the wedding of Prince William and Kate. Amazing how everyone around the world and especially in London celebrates with them. I can imagine the jam packed tube after the entire ceremony. Anyway, I guess Kate and Prince William has brought in an extra flavour to the royal family. Soon to follow little Kates and Wills. Do hope that this fairytale love will last. Its nice to see that he faces lit up when he saw her. Well, interestingly the wedding was also shown in Dataran Merdeka. Sad to say I hardly even know anything about our own country King and Queen what more their children or grandchildren for the matter.

Well really glad May its finally here! Less working days. ;)

A little about Easter, it was such an experience to be able to worship God in the open an at such an unearthly hour. Glory indeed to God on High. Really can imagine when one day we will be seeing the Lord Jesus face to face and singing praises to Him everyday in the open outdoors. How awesome! ~ I'm sure the weather be much better then. ;) It was rather hot when it hit 8am. Sun beating down my back and all I could think was to run for shade but praise God for the beautiful weather then.

The 15 days of new year is over and the month of February is coming to an end. February is a short month and for me it was a month with lots of different things happening. Lots of visiting to and fro relatives place.

I met up with the convent gals after years of not seeing them. It was good to see Edwina since I last saw her in 2007. She still looks the same and yes although I have not seen her for so many years we still had a good chat. Meeting up with them certainly makes me go back in time and it really felt like I was back in Secondary school.

Craziest thing ever the same day I met with the convent gals I met the TARC CNY visitation troop in Cheras. Well, it was a much smaller group than expected but nevertheless it was good to see both the old and the young mixing together. It was a little weird for some of the seniors as they have not met this really super juniors and hanging out together with them for the first time.

Finally, met up with Jon from UK. Belinda and I took him to SS2 as the shop in OUG was close. Although it was a short session together it was good to meet after several months.

For me the good news came yesterday when my dentist say I will be able to remove the braces at my next visit. Its been a good 5+ years. It will be 6 years by the time I take it out. Can't even remember how it feels without braces since I have been wearing if for so long.

On work, I had my Induction training just a week ago. It was a good change to the environment as I met with people from various department and many of them were around my age. So much easier to communicate! No generation barrier. :P I think I am getting much better now. I'm able to take things as it comes. Its been a learning and growing process for me.

Alright my little updates on my life. Wish I could carry on but the Anti-Money Laundering Seminar in Cheras is awaiting me.

It has been a period of settling back into Malaysia. Before I start in to a whole new journey in my life, I'm taking the next few weeks to just reflect and take in everything that has happened in my life for the past 22 years. I guess time just flies and I hardly ever had a pause at all in this long video recording. It would be a time of redirecting, rethinking, and definitely a new beginning to come.

Will be attending a one week long conference from the 29th of November to the 4th of December and it will of of to Singapore in about two weeks after that.

Really glad that my stuff from UK has arrived though. Miss my sport shoes :) Now time to put them into full use after 2 months of completely no jogging, running or for that matter much walking!

Bukit Gasing Hike (17th November)
glad that we have such great people in church!

Lunch in KLCC cum Farewell

TARC Convocation

My time in TARC has officially come to an end. Its been a good 4 years plus in TARC. Going to miss all my buddies, the campus environment, the pressure from studies, the lecturers, my college life and especially the TARC CF where I have grown, learned much and found floorball!

I am really proud of what CF is today. I am glad that it has come out stronger, glad that they are going to have exciting times and that they are going to have a whole new adventure with their new CF advisor Mr.Andrew Tan. Indeed seeing them grow in the Lord is priceless!
Kudos to the outgoing committees and All the best to the new committees.
May the Lord's favour be upon you all.

I am glad and thankful for the pioneers that started out the TARC CF without them CF will never have been around. Thankful that these bunch of people have listen to His calling and today I can say that this one ministry has touched many lives and to some a life changing one =)
To the unsung heroes, God bless!
heart4God
I am suppose to be excited right? I mean this is my first ever time going abroad there should be that feeling that gives you the adrenalin rush. I have waited so long before I get to this moment. It does feel funny though that I am going without my family. Definitely wasn't expecting this when I first thought of TARC. Was really 'gung ho' then. UK was the goal that kept me going in TARC for the 4 years although I have to say that I really enjoyed the moments in TARC.

My church mates facebook status is in anticipation of their new born's (can't believe so many of them pregnant together). My college mates status are filled with excitement of UK. My facebook inbox is flooded with messages not just from the University but my college mates on what to bring and discussions about UK. My CF friends who has already touch down in UK have already begin the frenzy photo sessions with the wonders of the white land.

Honestly, I don't know what to feel at this moment it will be one big step for me. (hey its my FIRST TIME k?) I will be staying away from home the longest time ever. My record away from home is 2 weeks this time round will be 20weeks and UK is 14 hours away from my lovely home.

Mum and my sis has been bugging me to pack my bag. Yeah I should get started the only thing I have done so far is coming up with the list. Well, I guess if I forget anything there is always the Supermarkets for me to go to.

God willing I will be backpacking Europe for a month with the CF geng. Totally adventurous! On one hand I want to do it but on the other I don't. Weird....

Will be packing Malaysian food over as my Malaysian Made Stomach does not go well with Western Cuisine. A little once in a while is alright but a few months I might have to be wheeled back to Malaysia. Don't worry I won't be like those soap operas where the person is sitting in their room with the home cooked food and sobbing away thinking of home.

BECAUSE... I am in the 21st Century where there is such a thing called Internet and Telecommunication. Will be close to home. =) Going to take this opportunity to discover myself even more. Grabbing every single moment in the UK that God has given to me and maximizing it to the fullest.

Only 4 months plus and I will be back home so I am going to ensure I have a fulfilling time in UK & Europe. Time to start packing and preparing....

I will Step Out!

The challenging 3 days are over..... for now at least. Whether I pass or not that is another story another chapter. Of course like all aspiring CIMA Students I want to pass first time but I guess I am just not competent enough.

Not enough practice especially for the paper that I fear the most. Financial Strategy.....

Well, indeed it was a miracle that I went through the exams and came out of the exams still emotionally and mentally sound. Was not as tense as I should feel. Really glad that my sister fetch and waited for me 3 days in a row. A HUGE sacrifice :) and mum who has pretty much retired from cooking at home cooked breakfast and dinner to ensure that I had the nutrients each day throughout the exam period. The BIG breakfast kept my stomach from making grumbling sounds through out the exams.

I believe I have gained muscles on my right arm. Amazing how ugly my handwritting can be.

Well shall not go on with my ranting on my exams. Its time to move on...

Some pictures to tell what I have been doing after I stop work while I prepare for the exams.
Avin and Desmond. Freshman I met in TARC. Can't believe it they are the same age with my brother Tjoe. Though it has been a short time being with them but I really thank God for knowing these bunch of people-the new freshies that just came in.
During the time I was still working manage to attend EASTER 2010 Although I only manage to hear the message and not watch the skit. I heard the skit was great though. The message however was clear and really good.
Manage to even catch up with some older ones. Not just them but well can't be taking pictures everywhere I go and definitely not posting it all up :P
3 Awesome gals I got to know. Powerful women of God. Best part is that they although they are young they are very matured in their thinking. Still growing and learning to be more like Him. I like it!
Yes I manage to have ONE group Steamboat before I left college. Amazing isn't it. Oh and it was Kah Hong, my inspiration who suggested eating here in the first place. Seriously its not the food that counts but its the people around that makes moments the way it is.
These group of people may not be perfect in their ways but its where I see the Lord's hand working. It is as the clay being molded in the Porter's Hands.
May they be vessels that will be used for His Greater Purpose.

P/S will be blogging more often now that exams are over =) Lots of preparation though before I leave for UK. Need to get started

It has been a good one week especially since I am not so tired from the running up and down from work and also studying and no classes!!! =) I joined the Hostel prayer meeting in the nights and it is really good to be with them as it is so refreshing.

Over the week a good friend of mine ask me whether I was an idealist. I guess it wasn't asking but rather she thinks I am. I ask her what she meant by idealist and she said (paraphrase mine) that its setting goals that its quite impossible. Usually when she ask questions it doesn't get stuck in my head for days well this question however was and it just played in my mind over the week. (Glad she didn't ask me at the beginning of the week)

But I am glad that she did bring it up. It was a good question for me to reflect on my life and the things I do. One of those people that is good to have around. An intellectual person indeed. Anyway, today, right in the middle of service with the song Take my life and Let it be behind the background I am reminded that my God is an idealist and that it was alright for me to be one.

His ideals of wanting to have a relationship with man kind almost seems to have been crushed by the sin that Adam and Eve brought upon the world right in the book of Genesis. If we were around that time we would have most probably say there goes no solution to save mankind and that God's ideals has been thrown off board. (Rule : God holy can't be with unholy people just like oil and water don't mix) But He is the God of the impossibles and yes there is a solution that would rectify this problem that seems hopeless and far beyond repair that was sending Jesus to the cross.

I am not here to give you a sermon on salvation. I'll get to the point.

Yes I have ideals and she wasn't the first to have mention it. I had others who came up and told me to be realistic this is the world. No such thing as perfect guy (I wonder what they meant by perfect though because I can't imagine one perfect human being that has come across my life) to be married with and that life is not as what it seems and is going to be. The thing is that life is as it is. Hopes are there to keep us moving and motivated.

If something comes along our way that dashes that, it doesn't stop there - God didn't stop there anyway... So why should the same apply to me. Nopes I am not being unrealistic and living out of this planet. I just believe that even though things may not go the way I want them to be that doesn't me that my fate is doom and I should settle for something less than His ideals.

Just like the little boy by the sea throwing in the Starfish that was wash to shore one by one. A man approach him and ask him what he was doing and he said he was saving the Starfish. The man then told him that he would never be able to save the starfish as there is just too many of them and (I love the little boy's reply) "Well it makes a difference to this one" just as threw in a starfish to the sea. So yes I may not fulfill all my goals but at least it made a difference if it even had 10% of that goal being fulfilled.

I'll end with one of my favourite Sunday School Songs.

My God is so big, so strong and so mighty
There's nothing My God cannot do for YOU

The mountains are His,
The valleys are His,
The stars are His handiwork too

p/s - btw girl if you are reading this thanks for the thoughts love the mind exercise =)

Why must things be complicated?

Lately, I am trying to finish all the paper work and stuff needed for the UK Summer Semester and also the CIMA registration. The amount of forms and hassle you have to go through is horrible.

This is my first time making my passport and I still don't have it yet though I have visited the Immigration Department for 3 times. The lines are so long and they just don't give you all the information at one time. They never mention anything about making a copy of your documents before coming on their website. Then there is no mention that you have to fill in the borang permohonan before taking your queue number and the supposedly smart mykad has so much problem as they can't read it. Therefore even though you are above 12 you still need to carry your birth cert with you. Madness I tell you.

Thankfully I have one week to get it all done. The lady in front of me has been there 3 times too. Once because there is no more number after queuing up so long. The next day system down due to the new system implementation of computer chip in the passport (which is creating problems to the system) and hopefully she got it done today.

I will be going again tomorrow to do my passport. Lots of other things. CIMA registration, bank draft, finances, haven't bought my shoes for work and got clothes for working purposes. Sighz.. so many things on the line.

Best part is Chinese New Year hasn't ended and I have spent nearly RM1,000 in less than a week. Haahaa! Nopes didn't get much Ang Pow to cover up the cost. :( But good that it came in handy.

This Saturday will be the start of the weekend revision classes. I really hope I will be able to pass the papers in one sitting. With the workload up ahead I am going to need all the discipline I have and definitely the concentration and enthusiasm to move ahead.

As, last Sunday was my last week in FSCC it was quite sad that I didn't get to see Pastor Daniel and his family. His daughter is such a dear. Will be church hopping from now till the end of the revision classes in May. However, the last Sunday's message was really good as Pastor Rosalyn Goh spoke. She really inspires me. One person that doesn't resemble the holy holy kinda person but just being normal but yet having God shinning through. Awesome Woman of God! Right person to speak of attitude.

Well, hopefully my life won't get much more complicated than it is now. Rather, I should not make it complicated. Guess I have my way of making things a little complicated.

Just for the fun of it some pictures from the recent Chinese New Year house visitation with the CFers. Great to meet up with long lost friends.

Finishing the last paper today brought mixed emotions. Partly relieved and excitement to what's up ahead. Could hardly concentrate in the papers as my thoughts keep flying away. :) Ahh.... one step closer to reaching the goal.

Glad to finally be home. Miss home so so much especially the people in it. At last....back to body step. Hehe! It has been ages. Amazing I managed to follow the whole class. I thought I was not going to make it. Seriously ever since the exams begin and me having the silly injury exercise has been rare. This will be my first agenda and the first thing I wanna do this hols. To get my stamina back :)

Anyway as the title above mention, the years in TARC has really been a wonderful journey. Not going to say much about CF already and also the rest as I have mention it in the earlier post. Its still too early to write about it. Just hours since I left college.

Finals is one stressful event. My family has been ever encouraging probably the only ones that doesn't put stress on me. They even came all the way down for dinner with me. Kept me going...
Spend the whole week eating with friends and it was great as they really take away your stress. Love the farewell hostel makan or so-called lar. All old gals... [Eunice, Michelle, Kar Mun, Jia Wen, Levina and also Jia Wen's friend. The guys came along to Song Sing, Edwin and Wei Zhen]

Last night was just unbelievable. Talk about not having guys in you room and I was just bragging about it to Jia Wen and in less than 2 hours I have 5 guys and 2 gals standing outside my room and singing "Happy Birthday". Madness I would say. Best part is its not even my birthday but they got the age right. Hehe! Well, they (Stef, Andrea, Kah Hong, Glenn, XP, Errol and Larry) were even so proud of asking the guard for permission to my room but of course they failed.

They the Pre-U actually gave me a farewell cake and card and turned my room upside down. Just give them 5 min and a storm would have taken place. =) Anyways, I was busy trying to study Risk and Control Strategy so I wonder how can we mitigate such risk?

Haahaa!!! Not going to think about it because I am thankful and grateful for knowing them and also having them that I could not bring myself to scream at them for the noise they were making in the room not to mention the mess. Haahaa!!! Eunice was there too but she was kinda lost. Just love that gal.

Going to miss them - the sakai prayer group-.I am also going to miss all the times in TARC. The CF geng. (Just too many to name, you know who you are) and also my buddies from the AMA class. Ahh..... a sigh of relief and yet mix with the feelings of leaving a part of myself back in TARC. Guess that is what moving on and growing on is about right? Only when we separate that more growth can occur. Like the ameba.

Going to make the best out of the next few months. Lots on the list line up. Trying to keep it as free as possible to do what I really wanna do. =)

Its 2010. What's up ahead? I wonder what my last words for 2010 will be like... Anywayz shall not think ahead.

Lately, I can't seem to be able to focus. Its as though before I could finish something my mind is on another. The act of just enjoying one thing at a time seem so hard to do. I don't know what I am rushing for. Maybe its because I have been rushing like mad for the past semester that slowing down seems weird.

Everyone is talking about New Year resolutions. I am not going to do one for the year. Hehe!~ or maybe I should that is to enjoy 2010 as it is.

Well, my days in TARC are numbered. For the next few weeks it will be trying to cramp 14 weeks worth of notes in. I pray for discipline and alertness. Hopefully I will be able to absorb all in and understand it all. God help me.

Happy 2010 everyone! May it be a year full of growth and experience. =)

The last CF meeting which was on Tuesday brought many memories back to mind. I can't believe it I have been around in CF for so long. It felt as though I have only been around for quite a short period. I have been attending and also doing farewells for so many years (since the 2005/2006 academic year. Thanks for being a January Intake Student)
I think pictures tell more than words so see the changes below.

Youthwave 2009 - Penang

Back in 2007

2009 December Christmas Party

AGM 2009

3G Camp - PD 2008

AGM 2008

CPR Early 2008 - Gentings

Surf 2007 - Camerons

CPR 2007 - Country Heights

'ARMY' 2006

Co-Active Day 2006

There are many more that took place in between but just too many to put it all down. It has been a great and amazing journey in CF. Through all the ups and downs I have known HIM more and I must say that the years that I serve in the committee, I thought I was ministering to others but it was really the other way round - I was ministered 2.

I am really glad to say that CF has grown(Joy Group, Salibandy Co!, Pre-U CG, Hostel CG, Christian houses and the English Group) and though many has left their foot prints have left a mark in CF. I do hope I have also contributed in a good way to CF.

Apart from the spiritual growth, friends, family feeling (It was the only thing that took my home sickness away), sports, and don' t know what else. I thank the Lord that through CF I am now able to communicate in Mandarin. It all started out from serving in the committee where there are lots of Chinese Speaking Committee and the Chinese Cell Group in CF, the need to communicate brought me thus far. Hehe! I can even sing and pray in Mandarin. Not the 'canggih manggih' words. Even brought the Chinese Missionaries in our presents and now I have them as friends. Really enriches and enlarges my world. CF exists for YOUTH!

Going to really miss this place so much... I can go on and on about CF and what I've learned, gained from it but shall bear everyone the agony. :) Anyway, My prayer goes out to the young generation that will carry on the CF legacy in TARC. May it impact other people's life like how it has impacted mine. Keep up the faith and the fire going yeah!

Today, I decided to for once hang out with people out of my usual group of friends. I can't believe it. They seem to have such a distorted perspective of who I am. I am not a study kind of a person. Its so obvious. I really like to play and just mingle with people. For 2 years I have been in the same class but I have never ventured out and mix with the other people which of course didn't occur to me till today. Gosh!

I think what they say over lunch really stop me in my tracks and just reevaluate my life. They say I am a very busy person. They seem to have so much time for everything. Well, I am learning to juggle for balance. Some said "Hey how come you are here? Why joining the sub-prime group?". Seriously I went Huh? and then they explain "You know prime means top and sub-prime means not above the mark." I was like WHAT in the world??? I am like the bottom one in my group of friends and just trying to stay afloat. Just because I am in that group makes me like them.

Furthermore, some said that I am very busy in CF and said that Christians always very busy but still find time to be able to perform in studies. BUT..... its not true. So many Christians don't perform in their studies. We fall below the mark all the time. I know I can testify to that. What about being busy with 'Church' and 'Christian Activities' has it become an excuse we Christians give to others?

I don't remember telling this group of friends anything about CF or even using it as an excuse. What made them have such an idea I wonder? However to me its not true that CF is the main reason I don't have time with CF especially since its the afternoon. Something needs to get sorted out here. However, I did enjoy hanging out with them. Mostly all guys. At least they help me rethink.

Strategic Management coursework results was released today. Mr.Chin's method was a little harsh but I did like that he gave feedbacks so detailed because I feel that our lecturers hardly do that and if we want to learn we need to know where to improve on.

After the test the other day I was very disappointed. Actually hoping for only 1 out of 6 marks. That was how bad it went. Before the test I actually just hoped to get 3 but after the test I was like 1 is already very good because I didn't do half of the question paper.

I really must say that God has indeed been merciful and gracious to me. No, HE doesn't have to bless me all the time and I am not expecting it. Well, when the he gave me my paper he must have thought I was nuts. I went like Wow! not bad not bad... Trust me I hardly do that. Usually is like oh.... sighz... kinda thing. But really I was leaping for joy. Not because I got perfect score but I did much better than expected. Its like a 200% increase. God just doesn't stop there, the compliments given meant a world to me. Thank You Lord =)

My internet connection is finally back! Thanks to Mr.Tang =)

Anyway last Wed when and watch MPO with the rest of the hostelians and I actually love the music. However wish there was less plucking. Hehe! Could here the sound of New York Town. 27 of us turn up for the performance below is a group photo. (Not a complete one)

I watched as the conductor looked over to the violin section, then the percussion, then there was a seemingly insignificant lady standing way back in the corner waiting to play her one or two notes on a chime-looking instrument. "Who would even notice if she didn't play her instrument?" I wondered to myself. "The conductor would," said the still voice in my spirit.

An orchestra is a great picture of the way the Body of Christ should operate. It is made up of different people with different gifts, all being led by the one Great Conductor, telling us when to use our gift in the right time. I am sure the lady in the back of the room who only plays a few notes must think she doesn't measure up to the great violinist who sits right up close to the conductor.

However, imagine if you slowly removed each member of the orchestra, one at a time. At first you may not notice any difference without a trained ear. But as you remove each member of the orchestra, you will begin to miss the powerful and melodic sound of many instruments playing together. Finally, when all but a few of the instruments are removed, you notice a big difference in the sound and the void left from key instruments.

Imagine if these instruments tried to go out and play songs all by themselves. Imagine if the tuba tried to play a solo. Or the oboe did the same. You get the idea.

Every member of the Body of Christ matters. Every job matters to God and contributes to our great Conductor's grand plan to fulfill His purposes on the earth. Your contribution matters to God and has no hierarchy of importance.

Play your instrument to the glory of God in unison with the other instruments God has raised up for His purposes.

(My Son, haahaa! He kept Mum company) =) Thanks Son!

Is good Friday today. I wonder why its call good friday...Its not that the good guys won!! If I was standing there on the hill where HE was crucified my thoughts would have been "so where is justice? Even the messiah sent to bring justice is killed." The picture below makes it so scenic and the thought of the excruciating pain it brought to the Lord certainly doesn't cross.

Last Tuesday during CF, I was strucked with the complacency and the standards we have set on the GOD on High. We have become so use to prayer that the words uttered out almost seem liked they were already pre-recorded. (I am speaking of myself) I know the exact words to pray and maybe if you hear it, you would think wow! Well, what difference would it make then if we recorded what we wanted to pray about and play it again and again... if you are afraid that HE has heard it. Prayer is a conversation just like when we communicate with someone close to us. We need to mean what we say, feel it. Prayer is active, living and its in hope that we pray. Don't pray if you don't expect something to happen because Our Lord will surely answer it and you don't want to be unprepared for it.

Just want to say thank you the TARC CF folks especially Ricky Tong, Daniel Lee, Kenny Ng, Kel Vin, and Levina for making my night stay in TBR a pleasant one. =)

Argh..... Floorball is getting kinda dangerous to play. Or is it the way I play? Hmmm.... Trained with Salibandy for the first time after a long long while at our homeground. TARC. Court not as nice but well at least there is a court. While playing I had a fall. Since I was rushing for the CIMA discussion the pain wasn't felt. Had to wear my jeans because I can't enter the library with my short pants. Worst thing to do with fresh flesh. The jeans got stuck to the wound so by the time I came back in the night all around the wound had pieces of string on it.

Well, since I was back in TARC yesterday it reminded me of last sem. My beloved family members. Yups one thing they have in common is food. Haahaa and of course ME! =) They have been an interesting yet loving family. Let me introduce them to you.

From the top left (Clockwise) is 'ko' - Alvin, 'aneh' - Daniel, 'pa' - Kel Vin, 'Mummy' - Alice, 'Ah sok' - Gavin, 'daughter' - Chen Lee, 'grandson' - Wei Zhen, 'Family guardian' (also known as Panda) - Kenny Ng, 'Ah Pek' - Kel Sern.

One Happy Family. Don't ask me how it came about.

I remember some time back in church there was a message of being Thankful and I am indeed thankful for being so so blessed. I remember my elder sister being the wonderful sis she is asking me "Hey! What do you want for Christmas?" and then I thought for a while and just realised how blessed I am. I told her 'nothing in particular actually'.
I don't look for presents from people. Anyway, its seldom that I get something that I want. Because I think HE the Darling of my heart has got me what I want. Its only when I let something or someone take over that place that I start being jealous and going for 2nd best but I am glad that HE does not do that.

Things I am so thankful for (the list is very long but some of the things)
- MY LOVELY FAMILY
- MY FAMILY IN TARC (just a random pic - lots of them not here)

- TSF - TARC CG

- My Groupmates for 2 sems

So many more to be thankful for. I am one blessed child. =) Never could I ask for more. (Love to grumble and complain for no apparent reason but within I am really grateful for everything. THANK YOU Darling!
