There are little things in life that just cheers your day up. Was in Singapore for 3 days and 2 Nights. Attended the bank's Sanction training and the training ended earlier so I thought I could catch an earlier flight home but because I did not have a flexible ticket I couldn't change the ticket time.

Nevertheless I think God always has the best in store. I met my former roommate in the plane and we were assigned seats next to each other. Talked about coincidence. Nothing planned but same flight, side by side seats and our homes near each other.

Little things that cheers you up.

I appreciated how the Year 2013 ended and how I started the Year 2014. Took 3 weeks leave which gave me time to meet up with friends, family members, house chores and enjoy the much needed rest.

I never had such a long leave since I left university so the long break was really good as it gave me time to reflect, think, and just pause. I got a bit restless on the days where I had to stay at home and can't go out to the gym. Miss the gym much so the hols was a good time to catch up on all the exercise as well. This are the moments I wish I have longer leaves =)

I learn that you don't need to travel to have a good time, all you need is good company which is much more satisfying.

Went for a Corporate preview of Dialogue in the Dark. It was good being able to understand the blind a bit more. It was also a good team building event especially since the group of us that went are not yet so close.

Carol's Hens Lunch in KLCC. Same day that we celebrated Grace and Sherah's birthday (Colleagues)! Lunch time was split. First half with the new staff and the second half with the old staff. Accomplish quite a lot in that short lunch time.

Had the privilege to see Lake Toba with my family. A good relaxing time! God is really one magnificent God.

The Old Folks CF reunion at KLCC. How we never change after 3 years +. When bros and sis in Christ meet up.

AMA Gals finally had our meet up after so many years.... The gals from Melaka and Singapore made their way to KL and we had a really good time just catching up on each others lives.

Went out with our 3 little nieces as well. They enjoyed themselves and I am glad that they did.

Eleanor's 1 years old Birthday! iKids teachers first baby!

Our friends from Sibu came down to KL. We had a good time. The gals are not used to our western food but loves Chinese food. Meeting friends along the way is always nice.

Old HSBC staff meet up. Managed to meet up with Christine, Kelly and Karen who has left the bank. We had a crazy wild time just sad that it was a rather short one.

Also had the opportunity to meet up with Eu Pui after ages... My big sis that has been a blessing to me in my CF days. Though we disagree at times but I learned a lot from her. Times with her always are always uplifting.

Because we brought back one group of nieces, 7th aunts grandchildren also wanted to come over. So we had the nephew and niece sleepover at our place. Looks like my house is becoming a nursery.

The month of October has been quite a month. Lots of stuff from one big thing to another but well I have to say that I do quite enjoy moving from one task to another as it moves me out of the 'routine-ness' of life and that somehow gives me satisfaction.

It has been a while since I actually wrote a post so here are some pictures that I took over the month.

Levina and me at YA CAMP 2013 - Undivided

Me and my roomies with the strong winds

We had a mini hen's lunch for Yim Wah who tied the knot in October.

Hawaii theme night at Golden Palm Tree Sepang - Risk Offsite 2013

Our team building theme where we won for the marshmallow and spaghetti tower building competition.

A view from my room at Golden Palm Tree at about 6.45am on Saturday morning. I was blessed with a single room at Canary Villa =)
A group of us chilling out during the Risk Offsite.

Purple day in office to bid Karen farewell (well this was not taken in October but since I just received this photo so well here it goes)

Well, will write more once I return from Sibu. Looking forward to the end of the year as I will be taking leave on and off. :) Starting with mission trip this weekend and family trip to Medan and the list goes on!!! =)

It has been a rather busy few months. From weddings (Andrew, Christine, Aimi, to farewells. Its really sad to see people that I have become so accustomed to leave the bank. Well, that's how things I supposed but nevertheless am glad that they have found something better for themselves and am glad to have known Christine, Su Chan and Karen.

I also managed to do a short catch up with Jerusha beginning of September after nearly a year. Its refreshing to catch up with friends who are like sisters to you. You just walk away from each gathering feel more recharged, blessed and encouraged.

Thanks to Christine's wedding on 15 September, we had a mini outing in Penang. A rather interesting experience since we saw the Malay side of Penang trying the various Malay food that the Pearl of Malaysia had to offer. Malaysia is indeed blessed with a rich culture and yes lots and lots of food!

Enjoyed the company and the entire wedding celebration! Glad to see a good friend tying the knot.

1st Team Lunch

Su Chan's Farewell. Going to miss knowing such a great 'tai kah jie'

Karen's Farewell. Going to miss another good friend in office. We had a good lunch with lots of laughter and I learned how to eat Northern Indian Banana Leaf

July has been quite a month.
  • 2 colleagues from my team resigned.
  • To complete my Advance Certificate assignment
  • Submission of postgraduate related application
  • Replacing others in ikids
Glad July is over and everything is more or less well, back to normal. August should be a more restful month and I am hoping that the 4Q of  2013 will be less taxing though I have loads of projects scheduled for 4Q13.

Nevertheless, this month has been a month of new experience. Because my colleagues have resigned, I am forced to learn new stuff in a rapid pace. My postgraduate application also brought me new encounters that makes me thank God for my nation. To think that another country is more organised, I guess, whether a country is efficient or not will depend on the people. Efficient people at all ranks will lead to efficient services to the people.

A few take home lessons that I learned along the way.
  1. To be once again reminded on what a supportive family I have.
  2. My lecturers in TARC really put the student interest above theirs. Their willingness to go the extra mile for the students. A virtue that should be with all teachers.
  3. I have been blessed with great bosses and colleagues. My supportive "father" and "mother" in office.
  4. Malaysians are a loving bunch of people and its easier to deal with them.
  5. Some people are just a pain. Charging you unnecessary. To that Dude that took my RM95. I forgive you because God forgave me more than the RM95 you took from me.
  6. Ladies always have a warm heart. To the lady that went the extra mile to assist me in my application, I know you are God sent. May God bless you and your family for your special touch.
  7. God answers at His own timing. He looks at the heart and not at my hands or my capabilities.
I wanted to have a break quite badly in July that I took quite a number of leave. All because I had to run errands but last weekend managed to organise a mini-outing to Frasers staying at Sri Damai (HSBC's Bungalow). The place is awesome and the 7 of us had a great time! Strangely, I am hanging out with people that are at 17 years my senior. Gosh! They must really think I am quite childish in whatever I do. 17 years is a big big gap. That's all the way from kindy, to primary education and even completed secondary school. Well, I still feel quite old because they are more agile compared to me so yeah age does not matter I guess.

It was a good outing with lots of walking, hiking and outdoors. Uncle Wong the caretaker compensates all our exercise with huge and tasty meals. So it was a laid back holiday and I am looking forward to the next. I think I am addicted to travelling. I just love holidays.....

Its been rather interesting to have both my niece camping over at our homes. Feels strange to have kids again in the house. One thing we realised was how the house has become so 'adult' that it is no longer child friendly. Anyway although the both of them are so hyperactive, I enjoyed having them around. The past 2 months have been good times just having simple hang out sessions with the extended family.

It is already the end of the 2nd week of July. The office feels weird with new people around and the old ones gone. There is no time to feel sad or even to stop and think about the change in office as I have been so busy in office. Just rushing from one task to the next. I have to say, that when I have a list of to do items, I must see them removed from the list and before I know it the moon has come out. I leave office everyday with my head throbbing and the train ride seems to be quite good at just calming the nerves and bringing some sort of sanity back to me before I reach home.

I wonder what's in store for the second half of the year. Without my sifu in office around and having 2 new colleagues sitting next to me, I am sure in for change. Well, only time will tell how long I will remained but as for now shall make the best use of time in office.

Glad I finally went out with Timothy 'a blind colleague' that I have known for nearly 3 years now. Its strange how I can go to office and be so caught up with everything and the people around me can just drown in the background. I was so refreshed with the lunch meet up with Tim. I met other blind people in the bank and saw the world through their eyes. Only in the darkness do we learn to walk by faith.

I am just so grateful for the events that God has placed in my life. (the good and the bad)

Am truly blessed for the time out over the past weekend that has given me the time to think, reflect and listen.

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns

It has been a busy busy month. From catching up with friends to camp, and church anniversary.

Managed to meet up with quite a few people during the month. Yesterday, my colleagues and I had a hang out session at Karen's home to eat good food and karoke. A rather interesting session but it was nice hanging out with the not so young people. Hahaaa they will pounce on me each time I say that. Well, I better say while I still can because I'll be not so young soon in a few years time.

The iKids teachers with Aunty Ai Siang after the Pilgrim's Journey Session with the children. It is always all smiles after running around for 2 hours +.

Having a good farewell with Hazzan. Well he did said something that was rather true. We can see each other week after week but we hardly catch up with each other. If only we weren't so busy. That is the biggest problem with the Asian culture. Everything is fast fast fast and the worse thing is you can't help but be part of this great big whirlpool that keeps moving. Anyway Hazzan thanks for your time here in Malaysia. We will surely miss the prayer warrior.

FGA USJ Young Adults Camp. With Ps Guy and his wife. Thanks for your sharing. Totally encouraged me that I have a Big God and I can be Bold in Him. Thanks Ps Guy for your obedience and now setting an example to us the younger generation to run this race with excellence.

Last but not least. Thanks che for always being there. I love camps when you are around. :P Haahaa miss having camps together with you. Oh and it is always a plus point to have a good friend around. Thanks Ms.Lim for coming along. Now that you know my sis, makes hanging out much easier. :P

Oh and I thank the Lord for the promotion. Yes I grumble and complaint and the list goes on but God my life is in Your hands. Even though I cannot see the rainbow now, I know I'll see it after the storm. =) Thanks for being patient with me.

7 April, 7.30pm : Just finished watching the Easter musical, we (Kah Seng, Joelle and myself) were going to grab dinner at OUG. Waiting at the traffic light near Pearl Point International, I was busy talking with the other two about curry mee and the next very moment I saw from the back of my shoulder a huge trailer coming followed by a loud scratching sound and it rammed into the other two cars on our right side.

Its the first time I see the two cars literally flying to two ends of the road and I thought the right side of the car that we were in will be totally damaged but after managing to move the car to the side only the front part of the car was damaged.

However, it is really a miracle that nobody died in the accident. The condition of both the cars that flew was horrible. The car that flew to the left was like a smash tin can but yet they came out safe and sound. Only the other car driver suffered several stitches but other than that everyone is well and safe.

While the accident cause us a long process and massive traffic jam at Old Klang Road, I must say I am really grateful and thankful to God that we came out without a scratch (apart from being a little fearful).

In that whole situation am thankful to my family who quickly came to my aid from Semenyih (yes my Dad came to the police station too) , to the FGA church mates that was there on the scene and to Pastor Grace and Arnand that came and prayed for us. Most of all to Joelle and Kah Seng that kept their straight face and be ever so positive about the whole thing.

Please do drive safely and carefully, I have seen at least one accident nearly everyday. We need to all play a part and drive carefully behind the wheels. Its the real world and not some video game where people don't die.

Too lazy to write. Enjoy the pictures below!! Work + Leisure is the way to go! Hopefully I will get to go for more of such conferences or work related things. An eye opener as well as a good time to see the different cultures. Love the richness of culture the world has to offer. Need to be a different place each time though. :p

Now there's nothing extraordinary in Hong Kong but the things that lead to this trip has been extraordinary. To sum it up I received my credit card few hours before my flight to Hong Kong, book an accommodation for the extra night in Hong Kong in about 2 days earlier and Levina agreeing to come to Hong Kong with just a few weeks notice. Oh and also nearly had the trip cancel the week before I was suppose to fly off. Seriously, to be able to go to Hong Kong and come back to tell the story is beyond this world. The timing can never be so precise. Well, all glory be to HIM.
