Today is the last free day. The holidays have been good. I really thank God that I didn't start work on the 22nd of February as agreed. One extra week helped me settled my stuff for UK and also get me slightly more prepared for the hectic time ahead. It was a week of finishing all the unsettled business.

Tomorrow will be the first day of the CIMA revision class. Excited but not sure what to expect. Only taking 2 out of the 3 revision papers offered as I doubt I will be able to concentrate in long hours of class. I will be staying in hostel after more than a month away. Wonder what will it be like without home again. Need to really start getting use to it before I will be terribly homesick in UK.

Will be clocking into work this coming Monday in HSBC HQ working in the Compliance Department. Don't ask me what I will be doing now... I hope it will be of benefit to me. This means 5 day work week and 2 days of class. 7 days of work. :P

Guess this means I will be blogging less and also facebooking less. Internet connection will be a scarce once I am back to my routine and definitely time will be a factor I will long for.

Haven't touch floorball in a long while. Miss playing it. Haven't been doing any cardio exercise so much of building my stamina over the holidays. Don't think I will have much time to do any in the next few months.

Can't think of what I haven't complete yet. Need to get it done in the next few hours before signing my life over to College and Work.

I really hope all this is worth it. Studying I mean. I calculated when I graduate I will be paid pittance. All these sacrifices need to be realized in rewards. With the hefty living cost in Malaysia I wonder how I am going to survive. The cruel life cycle that never ends.

Why must things be complicated?

Lately, I am trying to finish all the paper work and stuff needed for the UK Summer Semester and also the CIMA registration. The amount of forms and hassle you have to go through is horrible.

This is my first time making my passport and I still don't have it yet though I have visited the Immigration Department for 3 times. The lines are so long and they just don't give you all the information at one time. They never mention anything about making a copy of your documents before coming on their website. Then there is no mention that you have to fill in the borang permohonan before taking your queue number and the supposedly smart mykad has so much problem as they can't read it. Therefore even though you are above 12 you still need to carry your birth cert with you. Madness I tell you.

Thankfully I have one week to get it all done. The lady in front of me has been there 3 times too. Once because there is no more number after queuing up so long. The next day system down due to the new system implementation of computer chip in the passport (which is creating problems to the system) and hopefully she got it done today.

I will be going again tomorrow to do my passport. Lots of other things. CIMA registration, bank draft, finances, haven't bought my shoes for work and got clothes for working purposes. Sighz.. so many things on the line.

Best part is Chinese New Year hasn't ended and I have spent nearly RM1,000 in less than a week. Haahaa! Nopes didn't get much Ang Pow to cover up the cost. :( But good that it came in handy.

This Saturday will be the start of the weekend revision classes. I really hope I will be able to pass the papers in one sitting. With the workload up ahead I am going to need all the discipline I have and definitely the concentration and enthusiasm to move ahead.

As, last Sunday was my last week in FSCC it was quite sad that I didn't get to see Pastor Daniel and his family. His daughter is such a dear. Will be church hopping from now till the end of the revision classes in May. However, the last Sunday's message was really good as Pastor Rosalyn Goh spoke. She really inspires me. One person that doesn't resemble the holy holy kinda person but just being normal but yet having God shinning through. Awesome Woman of God! Right person to speak of attitude.

Well, hopefully my life won't get much more complicated than it is now. Rather, I should not make it complicated. Guess I have my way of making things a little complicated.

Just for the fun of it some pictures from the recent Chinese New Year house visitation with the CFers. Great to meet up with long lost friends.

Just realised that I have actually had this blog for a year now. Started last year when my sem break started and yups till today its 1 year and 3 days old. This little blog's Birthday is 16 February.

Climb Broga Hill again this morning... Manage to see the sunrise and enjoy the wonderful breeze once again. The people climbing really needs to keep the place clean. Dirty beings... throw rubbish everywhere.

One more week and classes will start. One week to get all my things in place before routine life comes back again...

On a random note. Don't eat the Golden Fortune in Pizza Hut. Its horrible!! The food standard in Pizza Hut has really drop. Yucks!

Can't believe it the worst ever food poisoning I had. After driving for like several hours in search for the place my dad once brought us in Parit Jawa we went there for lunch and ate a huge meal. Guess every single bit of the meal is out. Horrible!! Effects started even before we reached home and the jam back home wasn't of much help. Glad that we reached home before it took a turn for the worse. Still suffering from the effects of the food poisoning. What a way to start the Lent season.

Well, anyway thank God that we didn't manage to find the place the day before if not the entire holiday would be ruin and I will not be able to conquer Gunung Ledang. =) I did it!!

The hike showed me that I was so unfit. Haven't been able to gain back my stamina which I had for the Mizuno and also Run for the Nation. Followed 3 unknown Indian uncles that nearly killed me for the first 200 metres up. It was just stairs all the way. Around 500 steps up. They had long legs and were striding up the steps, I could hardly catch my breath trying to keep up with them. Glad that after Checkpoint 2 they decided to go on ahead and leave the guide to me and my sis where we could walk at our own pace. (Those uncles are FiT. What can I say? Hash Harriers and Mountain Climbers, I am certainly no match for them)

Only then can we stop and take in the scenery and the wonderful breeze. The weather was fantastic especially when we reach the higher parts of the mountain it was chilly. Took pictures along the way as well. The guide which was younger than us took for us some of the photos and well he was patient.

The climb was a challenge. Took about 5 hours to climb up which included the stops and breaks and of course the picture sessions. We were only 30min behind those uncles and they didn't had picture sessions like we did. So guess we are not too bad after all. The going down was bad for the knees. Very steep too as usual the uncles were much ahead. Couldn't see them but when we reach down they have only reach 10 min earlier than us. Took us 2 hours plus down. Total of about 7 hours up and down. This of course does not include the time to enjoy the sweet success at the summit. We were the last group up the mountain but we manage to overtake 3 groups which started an hour earlier than us. I would say not too bad. =)

Good climb but the body aches are still there. Not as bad as I expected it to be. When up the waterfall which was another few hundred steps up but it was worth it. Exercise and also the scenery.

Chinese New Year took over Valentine's. Flowers sales are down. Oh and there is less English Movies that usually is aired during Valentine's Day. How I look for to watch these free movies. :) Back to the usual Chinese New Year shows. Not too bad lar but prefer the English Movies. Hmm... will have to rely on downloaded movies.

Chinese New Year can be quite a hassle. Really weird that people only start cleaning up and buying new stuff and cooking loads of food during Chinese New Year. We should do it all year round that way when Chinese New Year comes about cleaning will be much easier I guess. Personally, I think Chinese New Year should be spent eating less costly food and sharing with the poor. Imagine the amount of food we can distribute to the poor with the amount we consume during Chinese New Year. Speaking of which I am GUILTY. Crazy consumption of food.

Finally, spring cleaning is done. Guess thats not the end of it. The following week will be full with visiting and of course our usual family outstation trip during Chinese New Year. Love it! Its the only few times I get to go out and spend time with my family.

The one thing I really love about Chinese New Year is everyone is at home together. Of course this means the noise level will be up. Yups and those painful Chinese New Year music. Wish they would have more meaningful Chinese New Year songs. Hate to say it but I think our friends have better Raya songs. Not to forget the sound pollution created. Oh and the smoke churned up. People take care of the environment. :P

This week has been rather full with things happening. Have been spring cleaning the house. Painting and also putting the things in the house in place. Dad and mum has weird habits. Dad likes to do stuff outside for Chinese New Year and Mum likes to decorate the inside so they make a very good match. =)

Went to Melaka and just had some quality time with Alvin, Alice, Evelyn and also Kel Vin. Evelyn's mum is such a dear. Cook tomyam noodles and also bought nasi lemak for us in our short visit there. Ate so much. Now I have to work had to burn all the fat off. Staying at home is not good for me. Hard to maintain my weight. Melaka trip did not help. :( However, the time together was worth it.

I was suppose to start work this week but the supervisor allowed me to start after Chinese New Year. Its a good thing. Actually, even after being offered the job still quite hesitant about taking it up but I just feel that this is where He has place me. My doubts has been confirm so I will be taking it up. Just received the offer letter. Hopefully I will be able to juggle between work and also studying for the CIMA exams. Need to be more hardworking and discipline.

Attended my friends father's funeral today which is also my secondary English teacher's husband. Just felt so bad that I don't have the words to say to comfort the person in grief. I just wanted to comfort her but really didn't know what to do.

Exam results is out today. Have been looking forward to it but I don't know why when the results are out it takes me a while before I actually go and check it. Well, haven't check it yet. Whatever it may be I will be grateful. Read this and thought it was really good. Write your plans in pencil and let God have the eraser.

Just so many things going by. Everything seems to be happening so fast. Its Chinese New Year once again. Looking forward to the family trip. Yet somehow or another I know its going to be a tiring week up ahead.

Anyway, I don't know why I am blogging about all this. Happy Chinese New Year to all those celebrating Chinese New Year and also Happy Holidays to all. =)

Tomorrow’s plans I do not know,
I only know this minute;
But He will say, “This is the way,
By faith now walk ye in it.” —Ryberg

(Wei Jean, Terri)

Fantastic. Finally got some updates on my school friends. I'm hopeless in staying in touch with people. My long lost friends and I had a journey down memory lane today. We went out for lunch at our old time favourite ais kacang shop with curry noodles. Of course the aunty there recognizes me. It was suppose to be lunch but it went on till tea.

Wei Jean the gal I first knew thanks to my father is back from the States. Apart from journeying down the memories we had in school, I had a peek on what lives abroad is going to be. She shares some useful tips which I think I am going to need.

Terri, a soon to be doctor made me thank the LORD that I never chose to study medicine. She's doing great however. Love her very much. One gal that really takes the effort to keep in touch with everybody.

We went to school and got stop at the guard. So much for the keropok leko that Terri wanted from the school canteen. School rules don't just applies to the students but to the outsiders (which we are now) as well. Jean was in shorts (not the short shorts) and I wore a sleeveless 'baju'. Well, thats because we never thought of going to school when we came out of the house.

Love the good old days in school!!

Have to really take the effort to keep in touch with people. Sorry if I haven't been doing that well. Just don't know how some people are so good at it. Wonder where they get the time and energy...

Wanted to take pictures but forgot all about it, remembered only when we ended the day but then was quite weird to take pictures in the middle of the road. Next round for sure.

As its a bit of everything, different colour is for different topic.

Yesterday's service was just awesome. Loved the worship. It's really nice just to mingle in the Lord's presence as a congregation. Almost as if there is a bond of fire lighted up through the small sparks which we each bring.

I realised one thing lately, working together really brings out the true colours of people. Sometimes, I think its best that we don't know each other so well. You can even lose all the respect for that person eventually I think.

When shopping. Didn't get any CNY clothes but mum sponsored my new shoes and also got me a sports T-shirt which I had planned of getting a year ago. Found a picture of the shoe online. Lazy to go snap my own pictures of it. Looking forward to using it for a more comfortable sports experience. =)

The college geng will be going to Camerons tomorrow. Really wish I could go. Love the weather and also the company. Will be great just walking around the beautiful Camerons especially on a weekday where there's less traffic. Going up there on weekends and also holiday's is a real torture now. Smell exhaust pipes air. Well, anyway at least I will be going shopping later with mum. =) Thanks to my lil sis that will be fetching my lil bro from school. So nice of her to sacrifice.

Woke up this morning after sending mum and my lil bro off, I picked up the newspaper. One article caught my attention. Title goes Next best thing. In this article the writer says to stop looking for Mr.Right and marry Mr.Good Enough. "Lori Gottlieb argues that women should be realistic and understand that marriage is not a "passion-fest" but instead a "partnership formed to run a very small, mundane and often boring non-profit business."

If you know me well I guess you would have known I was ready to argue with the writer. Mentally already disagreeing and trying to find out who's the writer. Such silly exclamations made. Thankfully the article next to it titled Stick to the quest. I think Ms.Beck Pugh the writer has much better sense.

She says "not to believe that is to resign oneself to lifelong mediocrity and to the notion that it is all you deserve. We don't accept mediocrity from our government; we don't accept mediocrity in our careers; and we don't accept mediocrity in our friendships. Why should we accept it in marriage? I sure didn't when I said "I do" almost two years ago. " She concluded the article with "marriage shouldn't be about bagging the type of man you always thought you'd end up with. Neither should it be based on a checklist of credentials. I should be born of a good, old-fashioned feeling, which tells you both that you simply can't be without each other."

I think if marriage is like what Lori says then its like standing in the middle of the road knowing you are going to be hit by a lorry. Why would you want to do that then? Better stay single then end up with the wrong person for the rest of your life.

Just found the article interesting and thought of sharing. If you want to read it for yourself its in Today's StarTwo page 8.
