The last CF meeting which was on Tuesday brought many memories back to mind. I can't believe it I have been around in CF for so long. It felt as though I have only been around for quite a short period. I have been attending and also doing farewells for so many years (since the 2005/2006 academic year. Thanks for being a January Intake Student)
I think pictures tell more than words so see the changes below.

Youthwave 2009 - Penang

Back in 2007

2009 December Christmas Party

AGM 2009

3G Camp - PD 2008

AGM 2008

CPR Early 2008 - Gentings

Surf 2007 - Camerons

CPR 2007 - Country Heights

'ARMY' 2006

Co-Active Day 2006

There are many more that took place in between but just too many to put it all down. It has been a great and amazing journey in CF. Through all the ups and downs I have known HIM more and I must say that the years that I serve in the committee, I thought I was ministering to others but it was really the other way round - I was ministered 2.

I am really glad to say that CF has grown(Joy Group, Salibandy Co!, Pre-U CG, Hostel CG, Christian houses and the English Group) and though many has left their foot prints have left a mark in CF. I do hope I have also contributed in a good way to CF.

Apart from the spiritual growth, friends, family feeling (It was the only thing that took my home sickness away), sports, and don' t know what else. I thank the Lord that through CF I am now able to communicate in Mandarin. It all started out from serving in the committee where there are lots of Chinese Speaking Committee and the Chinese Cell Group in CF, the need to communicate brought me thus far. Hehe! I can even sing and pray in Mandarin. Not the 'canggih manggih' words. Even brought the Chinese Missionaries in our presents and now I have them as friends. Really enriches and enlarges my world. CF exists for YOUTH!

Going to really miss this place so much... I can go on and on about CF and what I've learned, gained from it but shall bear everyone the agony. :) Anyway, My prayer goes out to the young generation that will carry on the CF legacy in TARC. May it impact other people's life like how it has impacted mine. Keep up the faith and the fire going yeah!

Just realised it wasn't my 100 post. Had a few unpublished post in my inbox. :)
Well, thought of not posting till 2010 but wanted to share something.
As I mention in the earlier post that this year has been a rather humbling year and many times I felt that the words of the prophet of Jeremiah matched what I am going through only that mine was at a much smaller scale than his.

He has caused my flesh and my skin to waste away,
He has broken my bones.
He has besieged and encompassed me with bitterness and hardship
In dark place He has made me dwell,
Like those who have long been dead...

Even when I cry out and call for help,
He shuts out my prayer...

He has filled me with bitterness,
He has made me drunk with wormwood...
He has made me cover in the dust.
And my soul has been rejected from peace;
I have forgotten happiness.

So I say, "My strength has perished and so has my hope from the LORD.' ( Lamentations 3:14)

It seems as though God doesn't care at times about me. That He won't deliver me from my troubles and that I am unable to trust Him any more but almost as I have just utter these thoughts the following seems to follow

This I recall to my mind,
Therefore I have hope.
The LORD's loving kindness indeed never cease,
For His compassions never fail.
They aer new every morning;
Great is Thy faithfulness.
'The Lord is my portion,' says my soul.
'Therefore I have hope in Him.' (Lamentations 3:21-24)

Just as Jeremiah says that as Scriptures come flashing in my mind that I know God that you say You love me. You are my God; You cannot lie. Therefore I have hope. Even though all the evidence around me says it isn't true. Its not because I have figure it all out or understand it all but that God cannot lie.

Jim Graham says You tremble when you aer confronted with incomprehensibility! You tremble before a God you can't put in a box. A God you cannot figure out. Promises unfulfilled. Situattions that make no sense at all to you. but He says 'Casting all your cares upon Him, for He careth for you.'

Will end with this song.

Nothing is impossible
When you put your trust in God;
Nothing is impossible
When you're trusting in his Word.

Hearken to the voice of God to thee,
'Is there anything too hard for me?'

So put your trust in God alone,
And rest upon his Word;
For everything, Oh everything,
Yes everything is possible with God!

And I know that He cares. He saves. and He loves.

Sometimes I wish I would really worry less. Many a times the worries of life just swallow me up. Just looking back, I see how the times when I least expect it is when the Lord comes to my rescue. This certainly has been one of those semesters that I can say I am the least motivated and just filled with so many things in my mind. I know I have one really big problem that is worrying for things ahead. I need to learn to take things one step at a time, trying to solve the mountain of things is certainly not the way to go.

As much as I try to talk myself into just letting go I am not capable of doing so. I just walk around not doing much (because I can’t) and just keep letting it get the best of me. I am glad that the Lord is indeed my portion, my refuge in times of need. If I were to list the blessings He has bless me with I can’t say how much He has bless me with.

Looking back at the year 2009, I would sum the year with just one word. Humbling! This has been one year the Lord has shown me what it means to be at rock bottom. To have nothing and just relying on Him to lead me on. Things I hold on to the Lord takes away. People I thought I could trust just crash my world. The strengths I have suddenly became my weakness. Hiding the troubling moments was not easy but I am now proud to say the Lord is faithful.

It has been a humbling experience to be thrown in areas where I am least comfortable, to be placed in situation where I stop giving instruction and start taking them, to be strip off confidence, to reach a place where I am not the ‘Miss know it all’, to just be the ordinary kid of the block. Surprisingly, it was in these moments that I actually spent time to listen to Him. Turning to Him has certainly been the best thing I have done in my life because I can say with confidence that is when I am weak than I am strong. When I am nothing is when I am everything. He lifts me from the dumps and placed me on a pedestal.

I thank God for the little things in my life that kept me going throughout the year. At times when I felt like giving up, when I hit the wall, when I feel when there is no one. That’s when I know He says “Trust Me”.

Just a few more days to the end of 2009. I wonder what’s in store for 2010. I don’t know whether I will be successful, whether I will be able to achieve the things any young girl wants, or what my future lies ahead but I know one thing that my life is in good hands.

Whether I win or lose I will praise the Lord!

Thank you for reading till the last bit. If you are reading this means you are one who cares for me and I just want to say thank You for making a print in my life. Thanks for the care and concern shown. Thanks for the prayers and thanks for just being there. THANK YOU! =)

Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!~

p/s wrote this post much earlier than the day its published. Can't believe from the time I wrote this post and now that I am publishing it a few things has taken place.

The wonderfully "clean" fan

What a week it has been. Well, going for the Malaysian Accounting Students Convention (MASC) has been such an experience for me. My friends didn't want to come along as this would mean they would have to skip class so I decided to go alone. No regrets.

What is it like?

First day was rather an eye opener to me. The place (UM Third College) has made me appreciate TARC very much more. The rooms are dirty and dusty. Talk about TARC Hostel food, its 100% times better. Seriously!

Apart from the physical appearance from the place, the hospitality shown by the committee members must be commended. The help me to my room. They were a helpful bunch.

Ok! As everyone else came in groups. (LARGE Groups) I was left with no one. However, managed to get to know a few people from different University during our ice breaker sessions and during our long exodus to the hostel and to our venues.

Second day was pretty much the same. Enjoyed the company of my roommate. Though she skipped most of the sessions. She found it too boring so she and her friends enjoyed the sessions by having their own visit KL tour.

By the time it reached the third day. I feel as though I have been here studying here and this is my home. Pretty much got use to everything and was already feeling quite comfortable with the environment. Got use to the dirty place and everything else.

Final day talks were not appropriate for me but I must say the company was just wonderful. From walking alone the first day I was talking all the way to the lecture hall and all the way back. Just an awesome experience.

Overall the talks were quite good. Love the third day talks. I think the line up of speakers good. I was put in Company 14 - Robot Technology. We named our own company and we won the BEST Company award and First Price for Treasure Hunt.

I am glad I decided to step out of my comfort zone. Many of the guys were shocked that I went alone as they say girls usually will only go if they have companions. Quite true but then again, if we follow the crowd we will never get to our destination.

In a sea of 250 people and being the sole TARCian mixing with the local Uni people was quite a challenge. Had to speak mandarin to the Chinese and also Bahasa to the Malays.

Don't complain about the TARCians not being able to speak English. The class of AMA speaks much more English then I have in the past 4 days. =) They speak better English too. Well done to the TARCians. Oh yeah! Not to forget be proud of our qualifications!! =) Its D best!

The organizing committee of MASC did an excellent job! Very hospitable bunch of people. It was a good first time for them and me. =)

For all the complaints and grumblings I have made this past few weeks. Today, God showed me how much He has blessed me through all these things I have complaint about. Indeed to count my blessings and see how God has been so faithful in my life. Felt so terrible that I have been complaining that I forgot to see what He has been doing in my life and how He has carried me through.
Really want to thank my beloved sisters and mum that helped me through out my entire assignment crazyness. They not only encouraged me and supported me but actually go the extra mile for me. Can't thank the Lord enough for them. I don't know what I will do without them. Thanks Mum! Thanks Jie! and Thanks May!
Yups most of my assignments are complete. Left one more assignment, 2 more presentations and 1 more test.
When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with You above the storm. Father You are king over the flood. I will be still and know You are God.
Truly, the little things in life takes you a long long way

You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord Blessed be Your name

I find it quite funny or rather a pity that people uses the wrong strategy. Well, needless to say if you have undertaken the wrong strategy most likely you are barking up the wrong tree and therefore no outcomes or rather you are not satisfied with things.

Let's take for eg the most talk about topic people around our age. I think the age variation has increased as little ones are also into it and many adults are still facing that problem. Relationship! Well, I think sometimes as Christians we tend to forget that if God is in control of EVERYTHING then we wouldn't need to fret. The strategy is well, if you like someone and she/he doesn't have any interest in you well the strategy would be first to turn to the one who created that person and say "God, is she/he the one?" If that part is done then Who can stand against you if God is for you?

So really, guys and gals the struggle is not vertical if you do not solve the horizontal issues most likely you would be in for a tough time. At least if you know that the person you are eying God approves then you know that He will carry you through it. Fighting the battle for you. tough that time also worth it lar. God confirmed wor....

Get the fundamentals right! Stop blaming the other party. They may have done something that has hurt you but seriously this battle HE is also interested. Jesus cares for you!

Try it! I am sure You won't be disappointed.

I have loads of work to do and to be done. Somehow or another, I just felt the urge to run away from all of it. That is exactly what I did. I played floorball till my hands and legs ache. I decided to watch a movie for awhile while having dinner which I got hook on. I’ve watched this show before. The first time I watch it brought me to tears and yes it still had the effect even after one year.

The show is entitled the Ultimate Gift. Frankly speaking this has been one of the shows that speak of things in life. It’s just so heartwarming to see how because of circumstances our hearts can be harden that we just block out everything that comes in our life and through the problems in life that we can know for sure who our Real friends are.

How true that the only people who will stick with you through your ups and downs are the Golden friends you can have. The ones you will treasure for life. Many a times it’s the people we least expect that are our friends of gold. How often do we like to be in the midst of the hype environment and be with the cool and popular people, neglecting those that mean a world to us.

In the same way, the way we look at life. Rushing in and out going through the hum drums of life cycle that we never really pause and ponder on the meaning of life. The silver lining in every cloud. I am not good at illustrating my personal recommendation is that when you watch it you will discover the truth about yourself and also it will be a refresher to life’s perspective.

Well, if you have the time I encouraged you if you haven’t watch the show the Ultimate Gift to get your hands on it. A movie worth watching! and if you are not a movie kinda person but a reader than read the novel by Jim Stoval. =)
