Its time to get started with the real reason why I am in Sheffield..... Studying!!!!
Today is the first official day of class. Had 9am class on professional accounting skills which was rather short as it was just an introduction. Interestingly the professor just left us to find our own group members which he has already pre-allocated to us. My my... you should have seen the class the minute he left.
Lots of assignments already on the list. I think that I have paid quite a bit for my education here and it would only be fair if I put in the effort to make this a worth while. Will have to leave traveling to the end of the semester. Which I know lots of people will think its a shame but priorities have to be set right before I go back empty handed.
One thing I learned from today's skills workshop although the method of delivery is rather fascinating is the quote the professor use its not knowing the path but walking the path. Oh! how wise the words from the matrix show.
The real surprise was my corporate reporting lecturer who comes from Sri Lanka. Talk about globalisation....Joelle nopes too bad he doesn't look like Venkaad.
Well since yesterday I had no class had a short trip to The Moor which I have already been too but this time we saw Sheffield by riding the Freebee - Free City Center Bus. A nice change as we manage to get an overall picture of Sheffield and see how the roads were connected.
The few entertainment up ahead is the trip to Whitby and also the School parties. (Finance welcome party and Sheffield Summer Beach Party)
Ok enough said. Its time to get serious. Its going to be a daunting semester.
"Work hard now, play later" - Hopefully I will live to this motto and not play all round.

Mabel and Hui Bin occupants of Flat 30 =)

ABC Soup (Sweet and nice)

Family dinner. Kar Choon taking for his girl friend

Lettuce and stewed potato with pork

Yesterday's lunch - Fried Eggs to accompany the main dish

Left over rice from last night dinner becomes a whole new dish (Yeah I know we have been eating lots of rice.. well its affordable and we are ASIANS)

Love the flowers. Malaysia can never grow flowers so huge and big except maybe Camerons and Frasers

The Moor is something like Petaling Street but a much higher class and clean version

Street performers with punk style performaing all around but they don't have beggers. Malaysia we have the beggers and they do the street performance.

Fresh Fruits. Big strawberries. Bought myself a box of peach for 1 pound =) Not really a fan of strawberries

Guess what?? Its Durian.... and its in UK! (Not cheap though and no strong smell)

I like this picture. Was taking the picture of the birds and the little girl was standing at the right spot.

I did it! I manage to use the self checked out machine. I want to go again and play with it once more. Can be found in Sainsbury. (Smart of them save labour cost!)

Yupes me at Sainsbury only wore the sweater in Sainsbury where it freezes

Happy customers

This is the Student Association. Something like the Student Welfare Committee in TARC. Big right ?

Today's lunch pasta and curly fries. Curly fries tastes just as good as A&W's

Yesterday night I took this picture at 9something in the night. Look how bright.

My junkfood collection

See Mei with her pasta

Maple with her bread. Baju same colour with the chair
Had a long break before the next class today so when to visit the museum and the winter garden

Sheffield is known for their metal work. (Something I found out recently)

Kriptonites... :p

Reminded me of Kah Hong =)

This picture is painted with detail. Couldnt take a picture any closer but the lines are really fine.

My goofy friends goofing around

More museum like materials

Design by a Japanese. Very unique display. Shows the clouds and the ocean.

Winter Garden

Me in the middle of Sheffield City Centre

Tried to take a picture of the DBKL's of Sheffield. In Malaysia you would see the Chinese mostly in the mechanic shops, the malays as police officers and the indians as DBKL but here is all whites. Down to the road maintenance worker. Malaysia would have some foreigner maintaining the road and as guards but not here

Everyone who comes to UK always takes a picture of this red phone booth seems to be like an icon so I did the same.

Public Declaration that says Jesus said I am the Way the truth and the life. Its an old veteran that is walking round the street with the banner.

After a long day. We decided to go simple Pasta that is cheezy with British Sausages.
Last night we had bread pizza. Was watching tv series while eating so didnt take any pictures. Sorryz....
