Christmas is a time
Christmas is a time
Christmas is a time to love

Its really amazing how one can grumble and complain so much and the next moment a sense of gratefulness fills the person. Well that's me when God intervenes.

Sometimes I get worked up over things for days, months, years but it may be a small thing then when God reminds me that it happened for a reason I can only say Ahh.... now I know why and regret even being worked up and not smiling at the whole thing. Hahaa!! Indeed His ways are higher than mine.

Christmas the season of joy, love and hope. It is filled with colours and wonderful decorations, the atmosphere everywhere smells of Christmas. While, the malls are earning big bucks with the present shopping spree, and the tourist industry earning from the holiday season, I am reminded that Christmas without Christ would be just another holiday season and that Christmas needs Christ for it to be meaningful and personal.

Today is the day where it is said to be dooms day ... I wish... hahaha....Unless, all the prophecies in the Bible has been fulfilled that day won't be so soon but I look forward to the day when I meet HIM face to face and know that it will be Christmas all year round.

Blessed Christmas to all!! Have a wonderful time with friends and family and also remembering the Father's greatest gift to mankind.

Yeay a random idea turns reality.

The minute I saw the website (national conference by gereja mawar sharon) after hearing it from Yin Yin, I thought to myself sounds good but well money will be a factor.

So I said God if you would allow me to go give me cheap flights n the next day Airasia announce its anniversary sale.

Sadly though we did not book in time so I thought perhaps I m not meant to go but guess what tiger airways had cheaper ticket but it will still cost me RM300.

But in His awesomeness last night when we were finalising our tickets,  tiger airways had its latest deals for flights from KL n lo n behold I am only paying about half what I have to pay from the earlier rate.

GOD is awesome and am looking forward to the conference :)

It never ceases to amaze me when I see the young ones excited to worship God. What more when I hear they get up at 5.30am for morning watch.
The kingdom of God belongs to such people.
May the fire of God stir the generation today to rise up!

Was having a chat with my boss while working and one thing he said was what I was thinking of asking them. (since all are older than me) I wanted to ask them whether where they are today is what they imagined 10 years ago. Haahaaa and the answer : No. Well I didn't had to ask the question but he said this "I never imagined myself doing this reports." and then a sigh came after that.

My collegemates will probably be thinking what in the world. "I thought you said you never want to work in the bank. Why, you are already in the bank for nearly 2 years" Honestly, I do not know what the future holds and whether I'll eventually enjoy the job that I have or continue to be at it. But I do know that I have grown and that through this process I know that God has been faithful.

Wish it could be easy
Why is life so messy
Why is pain a part of us
There are days I feel like
Nothing ever goes right
Sometimes it just hurts so much
But You're here
You're real
I know I can trust You

Even when it hurts
Even when it's hard
Even when it all just falls apart
I will run to You
Cause I know that You are
Lover of my soul
Healer of my scars
You steady my heart (x2)

I'm not gonna worry
I know that You got me
Right inside the palm of your hand
Each and every moment
What's good and what gets broken
Happens just the way that You plan
And I will run to You
You're my refuge in Your arms
And I will sing to You
Cause of everything You are

You steady my heart (x2)

In the midst of all the busyness in office. There are always still moments of oasis and yes is important to ensure that there's still fun in office. One drawback is that fun is always related to food ( I wonder why?) and that is not so good when exercise is hard to come by. :P

2 new staff just joined the department, waiting for 4 more to come perhaps then less work for all. =) I guess moving from one job to the next is all part of ones career life.
19 October 2012 - Celebrating my promotion along with the people in the department.  My bosses  that paid for the meal and the 'tai kah che aka Jo Anne' that bought an ice cream cake for the celebration!!

Its been a rather hectic end year. With events, weddings, camps, and work assignments. Haven't been able to go to the gym which really seems to be a spirit lifter that gives me the additional boost that I need nevertheless glad that today mum, sis and myself went walking at Bandar Tasik Permaisuri and that is refreshing minus the initial itch all around due to lack of exercise.

The YA Camp was great. Great speakers and lots of new friends. One thing lacking was sleep but enjoyed the time at camp as it was a good break away from the busyness of city life and yes we even manage to have our very own Run for the Nation in the 'heavens'. Lovely lovely weather! Praying for the nation is not a burden especially knowing that the citizens will be blessed when the nation is blessed =)

Farewell

Anyway I am going to miss Bevon! Haahaa one thing I learned is that not all blacks are from Africa. =) He is more American than any of us Asians. Grateful for the fellowship and yes the fun times shared throughout his time here in Malaysia. Though have to say that I have been quite bad at being a good host.... haahaaa.... Bro have an awesome time back in Antigua and happy entering a new phase in life!!!

Birthday and Event

Tjoe had a successful musical. I am sure they had a great time and that is all that matters.

Celebrated dad's 50+ birthday and for the past 20+ years I can't help but say that I am thankful for his support and guidance. With his sometimes weird decision I am proud to say I am glad that God gave him to me as my father. Dad have a great year ahead and many more years to come. =) Happy Birthday!

To my lil bro who will always remain my lil bro in my eyes am glad to see how you've grown to be who you are today. My prayers is that that you'll continue to discover the greatness of Him who is already doing a good work in you till it comes to completion.

May your hands be wide to receive the lost and the lonely, may your heart be soft and sensitive to Him, may your feet walk in ways of righteousness and in love.

Love yeah lots!!!

I am just so grateful for the events that God has placed in my life. (the good and the bad)

Am truly blessed for the time out over the past weekend that has given me the time to think, reflect and listen.

Below are the excerpts of his sermon delivered at FGT USJ on the 16thSeptember 2012.
What does Jubilee means to Malaysia?
  1. God has patterns that He has said in the realm of the Spirit and He follows that pattern. When a nation fails to recognise the patterns that God has said, then the nation may miss out on His divine visitation. If we seize the moment and take the nation at heart and pray for the nation and move in the prophetic season and “kairos” moment that the Lord has given, then there will be a total turnaround in this land. Times of Jubilee were a time of liberty where every limitation will be broken down. It is a season for God’s release of supernatural power to break every kind of limitations that has been limiting this nation from fulfilling its prophetic destiny. God created the nation of Malaysia for a purpose. This nation has a calling and a redemptive contribution that she has to give to the redemption of mankind. Malaysia has not been walking fully in the redemptive calling because of the limitations of the church of Jesus Christ. The year of Jubilee is the window of opportunity in the realm of the Spirit that every bondages, limitations and powers of darkness to be broken down in Jesus’ name.
  2. Jubilee is a season of family restoration. People are encouraged to go back to their families. What makes the nucleus of the nation is how the family looks like? There is great invasion of the forces of darkness against the family. Divorce, separation, children’s disobedience have all affected the institution of family. The Lord is releasing the anointing and grace to restore families to God’s original purpose. The “Josephs” in foreign lands will return and contribute to the family and the nation.
  3. God will judge us corporately for the corporate sins that have been building up for years. Time of Jubilee is also a time of repenting and asking the Lord to show mercy and grace upon our country. Jubilee is not about celebration and we will not have jubilee in its fullest measure if we have not dealt with the sins of the land. Sin gave the legal grounds for the Lord to withdraw His Hands for the forces of darkness to bring evil in this nation.  God is giving us an opportunity to pray for this year of Jubilee, not to bring judgement but to release this nation in a great revival that will lead to the transformation of the nation.
  4. It is a season to forgive one another for all the historical wounds, hate and contentions. Malaysians are to love one another regardless of race and colour.
  5. Jubilee is a season of justice and release from debts.  It is a new beginning and opportunity for everyone. God is a God of justice and mercy. It is a time to release people from debts, nationally, corporately and individually.
  6. Finally, Jubilee is a season of restoration, to begin over again. God’s purposes for the nation will be restored. The Lord has created the nation with a vision, a calling and a plan to fulfil her divine destiny.  Whatever the devil has stolen, God is going to restore and there will be a great season of harvest. The church is to get ready, expand your nets and God will bring in the fish.
May the Church of Christ choose this window of opportunity that the Lord has given us to fulfil the redemptive destiny He has for us all. This is the “kairos” moment for the nation and do not miss out the timing of God. The Lord is ready. Are we ready? And now, the work for us all has just begun!

heart4God

I have never looked at Malaysia the same after the hours of prayer for this nation. It is hard not to be defensive over this nation when others say something negative about this country especially if they are Malaysians who has now gone abroad. The Lord changes our mindset as we pray for this nation which I believe that it is a land flowing with milk and honey.

No, I am not delusive and I do see the many problems in this nation and yes many of which frustrates me but now I see hope for this nation. This nation has become my nation and that makes all the difference. Once it belongs to you no matter how bad it is you'll still treasure it and will work towards ensuring that change will take place. No longer will we take a back seat in nation building once this become "my nation".

Leviticus 20:24
But I said to you, “You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the nations.

Deuteronomy 6:3
Hear, Israel, and be careful to obey so that it may go well with you and that you may increase greatly in a land flowing with milk and honey, just as the LORD, the God of your ancestors, promised you.

Truly am truly humbled to see the Christians arising and praying for this nation. “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18: 19 – 20. I can truly say that I can now say that God has already begun working in the ground of this nation but there i much work to be done and prayer is just the beginning. It will be an uphill task to see this nation truly coming to its fullness but a task that will be accomplish only through the strength of the Lord.

10,000 Sabah Christians gathered together as One voice and One heart to worship One and Only God to bless Malaysia during Malaysia Day on the 16th of September, 2012. @ Stadium Likas, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

10 thousands were at the Stadium Likas in Kota Kinabalu for A day to Bless Malaysia and 1,200 people at the Hope of Jubilee at Full Gospel Tabernacle in one accord praying for the land.

Families are a real blessings. Yes a pain at times but a blessing nevertheless. Somehow, God made families as an institution to protect and to keep each other in tact with reality. Many a times honest words are only spoken by a family member and Yes the definition of family is more than our biological family.

Listening to the many stories of How marvelous God is and seeing how God is so personal and working around people's life just makes amazes me. Should I a mere mortal speak words of wisdom to the One where wisdom comes from. Am dumbfounded when I stand before His throne being made aware of how small I am and how Big He is.

When I am still and know that He is God that is when I know who I truly am.

With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26b

I'm not gonna live by what I see,
I'm not gonna live by what I feel

Deep down I know
that You're here with me
I know that, You can do anything

Through You
I can do anything
I can do all things
For it's You who give me strength,
Nothing is impossible

Through You
Blind eyes are opened,
Strongholds are broken,
I am living by faith,
Nothing is impossible!

I believe, I believe,
I believe, I believe in You

  • Abraham trusted God and became the father of many nations.
  • Job trusted God, lost his family, health and wealth, but was restored with twice as much after his suffering.
  • Joseph trusted God, was delivered from jail, and raised up to be the ruler of Egypt.
  • Moses trusted God who rolled back the mighty Red Sea turning it into dry land.
  • David trusted God, stood before a 9′ giant, and slew him with a small stone.
  • Elijah trusted God and heard the sound of a heavy rain even before God released it after a 3 year drought.
  • Paul and Silas trusted God in the prison cell and were miraculously released.
  • Wen Lin trusted God and is now on this journeying with the greatest gift given to man.

It has been a busy busy month. From catching up with friends to camp, and church anniversary.

Managed to meet up with quite a few people during the month. Yesterday, my colleagues and I had a hang out session at Karen's home to eat good food and karoke. A rather interesting session but it was nice hanging out with the not so young people. Hahaaa they will pounce on me each time I say that. Well, I better say while I still can because I'll be not so young soon in a few years time.

The iKids teachers with Aunty Ai Siang after the Pilgrim's Journey Session with the children. It is always all smiles after running around for 2 hours +.

Having a good farewell with Hazzan. Well he did said something that was rather true. We can see each other week after week but we hardly catch up with each other. If only we weren't so busy. That is the biggest problem with the Asian culture. Everything is fast fast fast and the worse thing is you can't help but be part of this great big whirlpool that keeps moving. Anyway Hazzan thanks for your time here in Malaysia. We will surely miss the prayer warrior.

FGA USJ Young Adults Camp. With Ps Guy and his wife. Thanks for your sharing. Totally encouraged me that I have a Big God and I can be Bold in Him. Thanks Ps Guy for your obedience and now setting an example to us the younger generation to run this race with excellence.

Last but not least. Thanks che for always being there. I love camps when you are around. :P Haahaa miss having camps together with you. Oh and it is always a plus point to have a good friend around. Thanks Ms.Lim for coming along. Now that you know my sis, makes hanging out much easier. :P

Oh and I thank the Lord for the promotion. Yes I grumble and complaint and the list goes on but God my life is in Your hands. Even though I cannot see the rainbow now, I know I'll see it after the storm. =) Thanks for being patient with me.

The words of the song is so meaningful. Lord I don't have to be strong enough for I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

You must
You must think I'm strong
To give me what I'm going through

Well, forgive me
Forgive me if I'm wrong
But this looks like more than I can do
On my own

I know I'm not strong enough to be
everything that I'm supposed to be
I give up
I'm not stong enough
Hands of mercy won't you cover me
Lord right now I'm asking you to be
Strong enough
Strong enough
For the both of us

Well, maybe
Maybe that's the point
To reach the point of giving up

Cause when I'm finally
Finally at rock bottom
Well, that's when I start looking up
And reaching out

I know I'm not strong enough to be
Everything that I'm supposed to be
I give up
I'm not stong enough
Hands of mercy won't you cover me
Lord right now I'm asking you to be
Strong enough
Strong enough

Cause I'm broken
Down to nothing
But I'm still holding on to the one thing
You are God
and you are strong
When I am weak

I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength
And I don't have to be
Strong enough
Strong enough

I can do all things
Through Christ who gives me strength
And I don't have to be
Strong enough
Strong enough

Oh, yeah

I know I'm not strong enough to be
Everything that I'm supposed to be
I give up
I'm not stong enough
Hands of mercy won't you cover me
Lord right now I'm asking you to be
Strong enough
Strong enough
Strong enough

The record I hold prior to last week was 10pm but last week I broke this record with 11.15pm.

I took leave on Monday and with just 4 days I worked a total of 55.15 hours. That's an average of 13.7 hours. Maybe that's the reason why I have always look for jobs that has short hours because after 1 year and 9 months at work, I still haven't found the satisfaction in striving at work or climbing the career ladder.

The week that just ended showed me how much Asians work too much and that is why we see an increase in medical bills, divorce rates, broken families and a life of meaningless. To top it all there are many others who earn a higher salary and bonus while working less hours. (am referring to the Western Countries)

If only Asian will learn to recognize that work is something God created for man to rule and not something to rule man.

My Head of Department has always said - work hard. But I don't want to reach that point in life where all I know is work and that I end up in the hospital bed because of working hard. =)

A balance is essential that's why God made a full day of rest and even God rested!

I am so proud of my nation comrades that fought well to make our nation famous for the right things. Getting a gold would have been sweet but far from the gold medal is a heart of gold and our stars have shown that they have golden character.

Thanks Dato Lee for not quitting and putting up a good game for the world to know that you are one of the best players Malaysia has seen so far.

Thanks Pandelela that despite all odds that speaks otherwise you prove that nothing is impossible if you have set it in your heart to succeed. For displaying 'sportswomanship' in one of the world top sports meet.

Thanks Dato Nicol for showing that eventhough Squash is not in Olympics that you will still play well in the Squash Tournaments. For being the Number 1 Woman Squash Player 6 years and more to come.

May our fellow sportsman and sportswoman strive to be like our heroes. May the resources be channeled to the right sources and sports take on a major role in our school curriculum so that we will see more Malaysians rising as top sports man and woman in the World. =)

Aren't we all proud to be Malaysians?

Last week I attended the prayer school in FGAKL. I have attended 3 modules and I have to say although initially I would have never imagined for signing up for something like that but since the first day I attended, I just have to keep going back each day.

Never have I thought that it would be possible to pray (not the casual kinda prayers) for an hour but thanks to the prayers school it is really nice just to pray. Its as if there's drugs in it that keeps you going even though the next day is going to be a real torture to stay awake at work.

It was a torture alright as I try to fight off sleep even while I am in the train. I dropped a few stuff as I slept of while standing in the train and would usually look up to see stares at me. Probably thinking what's wrong with that gal. Nevertheless, I can say that it has been worth it. I do hope to be able to keep up the momentum.

I know I have a long journey ahead. A tough one I'll put it but as long as the Lord is going to be by my side I'm going to keep going and walking this journey. I'm glad that He will never leave me nor forsake me so He will with me alright. If I fall, I'll just stand up and continue on. May He keep me under the shadow of His wings.

One of the testimonies that was really inspiring that was shared by Alice and Mark Godwin, Read on .....

We count it a privilege to have been given the opportunity to pour out our lives for the nations through prayer. Thirty-six years ago we began our ministry in Bogota Colombia. During that time through many different circumstances the Lord gave us a passion for prayer and a calling to change the nation through intercession. We began to pray alone and then five university students joined us each day from 3:00 to 8:00 PM.

This began an adventure that changed our lives. During these intense times in God’s presence, He would show us precise things to pray for. Sometimes we would even see the results of our prayers in the Sunday newspaper. He showed us specific judgments that were coming upon the nation of Colombia. One of these was the eruption of the volcano Nevada del Ruis that exploded in 1985 killing over 20,000 people in the space of one hour. It was through these specific revelations that we knew we were in direct contact with heaven. Around this time God showed us five men that He wanted to raise up. He said, “Once they were in their place of ministry we would see “most of the body of Christ won in Colombia.” We prayed earnestly for these men.

Looking back three decades later we can vividly see the answers to these times of prayer. For example, César and Ricardo were just two instruments that the Lord has used to bring revival to Colombia. César and his wife Claudia helped found the G-12 movement. In 1996 when the revival came to Colombia he and his wife were attacked and repeatedly shot by Communist guerrillas. They had to leave Colombia and flee to Miami. During his two years of exile the Lord added to his already burgeoning church 32,000 cell groups. The Lord raised up another brother, Ricardo Rodriguez, who began to influence many people. Recently when they got together at Christmastime there were over 200,000 people gathered together to worship Jesus in the park, something unheard of three decades ago.

There were many others whom God blessed as a mighty revival descended upon the nation of Colombia. When we went to Colombia in 1976 there were less than one half of one per cent of the population who were born again believers. Today, according to the book “Operation World” twenty percent know Christ. It was this revival in Colombia that sparked men in South Africa to start the World Day of Prayer. They reasoned that if God could do this in Colombia why not in other nations of the world. This revival is also causing great transformations in both the politics and economy of the nation. Their GDP is growing at a rate that causes other nations to envy them.

When we look back we see that one of the main ingredients that brought revival to Colombia were small intense prayer groups gathering together in different cities who prayed until they possessed an open heaven and clear communications from God that motivated them to pray with even greater intensity.

I just watch another movie!!! =) I really miss those days in TARC especially the exam periods. Those are the time when I actually have time to watch movies.

This year I think I've only sat and watch 2 full movies. One is Courageous and I just finished the second which is Fireproof. I really do hope the producers continue to produce such movies with really good values and a good message to it as well. Such movies keeps you thinking and it usually takes me a few weeks to process the message that they are portraying.

Books, movies, and holidays all spell fun and it always give a good feeling right after it.

By the way, the movie can be found on Youtube. See the link below. Enjoy!!

Jeremiah 29:11 is one of the difficult verses to hold on when you go through trying times. How can God have a plan to proper you and not harm you when the future looks bleak? When everything doesn't go your way. When situations around you just feels helpless, when you are a total failure and there doesn't seem to be a way out of the circumstances you are in.

It takes faith, it takes hope, it takes just trusting that He knows best.

HE chose the cross why wouldn't HE then save you only to throw you into a deeper pit! Lord I trust you because my thoughts are not Your thoughts neither are my ways Your ways.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Thank you Lord!

Finally finish watching the movie I began watching a month ago. While this movie is about fathers, I am reminded on how integrity is so important. To be courageous to seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly with my God.

Life is short and we must treasure it. To live with no regrets! =)

we were made to be courageous
we were made to lead the way
we could be the generation that finally breaks the chains

we were made to be courageous
we were made to be courageous

we were warriors on the front lines, standing unafraid.
but now we're watchers on the side lines, while our families slip away.
where are you men of courage?
you were made for so much more.
let the pounding of our hearts cry, we will serve the Lord.

we were made to be courageous, and were taking back the fight.
we were made to be courageous, and it starts with us tonight.
the only way we'll ever stand, is on our knees with lifted hands.
make us courageous, Lord make us courageous.

this is our resolution, our answer to the call,
we will love our wives and children, and refuse to let them fall.
we will reignite the passion, that we buried deep inside.
may the watchers become warriors, let the men of God arise.

seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly with your God
seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly with your God

In the war of the mind i will make my stand,
in the battle of the heart, in the battle of the hands.
in the war of the mind i will make my stand,
in the battle of the heart, in the battle of the hands

This is what I get after 6 months of Greek. Couldn't have done it without my sis. She translates Greek much better than me while I can only memorise Greek words / paradigms which is not important when it comes to the real purpose of why we study Greek. May Greek be not so Greek.

Should I continue with another 6 months of Greek? Sighz... Can't really tell after all its really tough to juggle studying for Greek as well as work and I would most likely take my Adv Certification in AML.... Hmmm.....

Anyway thank God for the marginal pass!!! :) "Hey its Greek anyway.... not aiming for a 90%"

Hi Wen Lin,

Just to inform you that you scored 28 marks out of a possible 50 in the greek 1 final exam. Your overall score for the entire Greek 1 course is 60, i.e. a D-. Congratulations! I hope you will continue to take Greek 2 so as to complete your knowledge of biblical greek and thus be able to make good use of what you have learned so far to help you to better interpret the New Testament.

Best regards.

Who makes the sun to rise
And bring the earth new life in every beam
Jesus it is You
Who turns the day to night
And watches me as I begin to dream
Jesus it is You

Who brings me food for my table
Who cares for all of my needs
Who walks the road with me
Has grown with me
Through all that I have been
Jesus it is You
Jesus it is You

I lift my hands
I bring my song
All of my days
All of my rights, all of my wrongs
I offer my life
Here and beyond
To the One thing true
Jesus it is You

Who sees my brokenness
And carries me when I am frail and weak
Jesus it is You
Who tells the storm to rest
When I am overwhelmed and cannot speak
Jesus it is You

Who wears my guilt on His shoulders
Who holds my heart in His hands
Who takes my thoughts and fears
And hangs them on the arms of Calvary
Jesus it is You
Jesus it is You
