This little cartoon pretty much sums what I do most of the time. Too tired to listen that it has become a one way communication of my wants, desires and etc. I can't wait to hit the bed when I have a chance. I mumble my request to God when I am in the train, half way asleep on my bed and then come to the conclusion that God has not answered my prayers. Question is has God answered but I have not listened?
In a turn of events, I was able to attend the 1 week prayer seminar at the end of March. A time where we just come and talk to God. In all our busyness thankful for that week where we had at least 3 hours of just having a focus relationship with little distraction.
Well, I came across this little story and how it reminded me to continue on in whatever I do because there is a purpose for it. Read on for more....
Sometimes, in life, we are required to accomplish certain tasks and we may get tired and wonder why we do the things we do... God has a purpose in our lives and He uses each one of us to take care of certain jobs. 1 Tim. 1:12 says,"And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;"
Brenda was almost halfway to the top of the tremendous granite cliff. She was standing on a ledge where she was taking a breather during this, her first rock climb. As she rested there, the safety rope snapped against her eye and knocked out her contact lens.
'Great', she thought. 'Here I am on a rock ledge, hundreds of feet from the bottom and hundreds of feet to the top of this cliff, and now my sight is blurry.' She looked and looked, hoping that somehow it had landed on the ledge. But it just wasn't there.
She felt the panic rising in her, so she began praying. She prayed for calm, and she prayed that she might find her contact lens. When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye and her clothing for the lens, but it was not to be found. Although she was calm now that she was at the top, she was saddened because she could not clearly see across the range of mountains. She thought of the Bible verse 'The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth.'
She thought, 'Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every stone and leaf, and You know exactly where my contact lens is. Please help me.'
Later, when they had hiked down the trail to the bottom of the cliff they met another party of climbers just starting up the face of the cliff. One of them shouted out, 'Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?'
Well, that would be startling enough, but you know why the climber saw it? An ant was moving slowly across a twig on the face of the rock, carrying it!

7 April, 7.30pm : Just finished watching the Easter musical, we (Kah Seng, Joelle and myself) were going to grab dinner at OUG. Waiting at the traffic light near Pearl Point International, I was busy talking with the other two about curry mee and the next very moment I saw from the back of my shoulder a huge trailer coming followed by a loud scratching sound and it rammed into the other two cars on our right side.
Its the first time I see the two cars literally flying to two ends of the road and I thought the right side of the car that we were in will be totally damaged but after managing to move the car to the side only the front part of the car was damaged.
However, it is really a miracle that nobody died in the accident. The condition of both the cars that flew was horrible. The car that flew to the left was like a smash tin can but yet they came out safe and sound. Only the other car driver suffered several stitches but other than that everyone is well and safe.
While the accident cause us a long process and massive traffic jam at Old Klang Road, I must say I am really grateful and thankful to God that we came out without a scratch (apart from being a little fearful).
In that whole situation am thankful to my family who quickly came to my aid from Semenyih (yes my Dad came to the police station too) , to the FGA church mates that was there on the scene and to Pastor Grace and Arnand that came and prayed for us. Most of all to Joelle and Kah Seng that kept their straight face and be ever so positive about the whole thing.
Please do drive safely and carefully, I have seen at least one accident nearly everyday. We need to all play a part and drive carefully behind the wheels. Its the real world and not some video game where people don't die.
