Ever wondered how words are such simple stuff but they play such a major role in our human life or even in the animal world. Such an amazing thing. I really wonder what gives the words we speak such power. The bible mentions in the bible
For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart
also mention in the book of James chapter 3.
Can't believe it the bible has already talked about the effects of the tongue.
If I can put a meter on to it, an encouraging word seem to be less meaningful to a person that is all excited, hype up and feeling on top of the world while a person that is listening to praises all day has little feeling to just another praise given to him or her.
BUT what if that particular person has been down all day an someone comes up and gives a little good word of cheer the meter jumps up to a high level. Leaving the person so much better. Vice versa when the person is on top of the world achieving great heights and someone comes along and say something hurtful or bad.
Rather amazing don't you think? Takes little effort but leaves lasting effects. Even to animals you tell a dog or cat good gurl or something you'll see them coming up to you giving their full attention.
Little effort, no cost (maybe your ego), and takes little time but gives a whole lot of impact. I believe words are such powerful thing. They can even change people's life and even change the world. Guess we take our words too lightly to notice the potential it brings.
The person who actually say to think before you speak is right in many ways.
So well people start using that magnificient weapon you carry with you.
