We all want change or at least we say we do but the reality is many a times we are not willing to pay the price for change to happen.

Change is uncomfortable, change requires effort, change requires doing things you've never done before. There's an element of fear, rejection, failure that is real and comes with change. It challenges your pre-set natural inclinations. More than that it requires one to admit that the old ways or the ways you thought were true may be wrong.

It doesn't happen overnight and it is a process. Outcomes may not be immediate.

My journey of faith includes the need to change. Changing my fleshly ways to the ways of God. A process which I have to admit is what I know I should do but leave it to me, there wouldn't be much change.

It's like changing the course of a river. It takes much effort and perseverance.

Many friends have asked about my change in looks. For me the past one year + started with a fast and then continued with a change of diet.

For the nation, the change is going to take much more than a fast and a change of diet. I'm excited and hopeful to see where God is going to lead the nation.

I love celebrating other people's birthday but I feel awkward celebrating my own.

Being 30 this year is quite a milestone on its own. Many people around the globe do not make it to 30 so I'm thankful and grateful that God has brought me thus far.

The past 30 years had many ups and downs but in each and every season I can say my God was with me. He pulled me out of the deep mire. He lead me through the wildernesses. From the pit to the peak on the mountain top, He was there.

I've fallen many times. Lost direction. Lost hope. Hurt many along the way even as I walk this journey of life but God my God never left me once. Adding to my life more than I truly deserve.

As if that was not enough, this 30th birthday celebration left me awestruck with His love. For the family and friends that He place in my life that despite my failings have been there and accepted me as I am.

While without the messages, presents, the special touch in so many ways and celebration I would still praise God, it has nevertheless been so amazing to be celebrated more than I could ever ask for or expected.

Thou that that loves me true and true
What can I give to You in gratitude
Oh may the praise from my lips bring cheer to You
Oh may this weak and frail body bring glory to You
Oh may this life I live be unto You a life well live for the glory of Your Name!

My love for food cannot be contained.
I enjoy trying out new recipes, improvising them and seeing them appear on the table just like how you'll get it at the restaurant or bakery.

I'm happy and proud that I can cook Chinese & Indian food and Bake goodies.

This is one thing that I hope I'll have in the future. A fully equipped kitchen with a working table!
