I believe in a God who is good. A God who can and will do what He promises.
I'm one who also believes in hard work and putting in my very best. Many a times I think that with proper planning more striving I'll be able to reach where I want and be "successful".
The God who was and is and is to come does not need me to make things happened. His school does not require me to study more but to trust and obey. Resting in that assurance that He is God and He is holding me in His hands.
A sportsman by heart, I am familiar that a few seconds of Olympic glory is backed by hours, weeks, months and years of long practice. The intense training and being set apart are part of the training.
Watching the Winter Olympics - Figure Skating in particular reminds me that is not just about execution of the moves. It is also about precision, grace and emotions in executing the moves. God, like a good Figure Skates coach will point out that weak spot work it until that elegance of grace shines in the performance.
