There has been so much spoken about change. Especially over the General Elections, people expect change to take place but the truth is are we ready for change? Is the situation too sickening that we are ready to move on to the next level? Are we truly tired of the things that are taking place in this nation? Or we are just merely hoping for something better but even if there is no change we are comfortable?
True change can only come when the people are tired and sick of the current situation and are ready to move on to the next level. Where the current is not sufficient. When they are tired of the current situation and they can't bear to live another day until they see change come to pass.
Based on the after effects of the GE13, its quite clear that we are still quite comfortable with the things around us. In fact, many of us are satisfied with the current situation we are in. The common trend is if it doesn't affect me, I am ok. We are still having food on the table, a house to live in, a job that pays well and I get to travel around so that is enough but such complacency is a guaranteed formula for destruction. Before we know it, day will pass and night will dawn. We need to open our eyes and start looking at the things around us. Doesn't mean it doesn't affect us that it doesn't affect others.
If our rights are considered what about the rights of the others? Is everyone's welfare looked into? Are there any side-line groups?
As a citizen for this nation and also a person standing in the gap for this nation, we need to start rising up to play our respective roles before night dawns. While its still day we need to start toiling the ground so that when night falls we are well prepared.
Its not about toppling the government. Its about filling it with people who has the interest of the citizens at heart. Who wants to see truth and justice prevailing in the nation. People who wants to see their fellow country men rising up to their fullest potential. Seeing their neighbours having necessities and every citizen having a place where they can call home.
Let the watchmen of this city awake! To blow the trumpets! Only then we can see this city coming to its full glory! Indeed the Lord on High has given us a good and bountiful land.
