Good friends are those that you haven't meet in ages and when you meet them you still have lots to share. Interesting that after lunch with her on Tuesday, bump into Yin Yin and her husband the next day outside church having dinner on Wednesday. Still have lots more to talk and share.

I am so so proud of him. He tried Filipino food. Tasted 2 dishes he never tried before and its a thumbs up! Let's see what's next on the food adventure. 😛

Pleasant Surprise

Last Thursday was a long day and I was quite drained out even before the end of the day. Between running from meetings, answering e-mails to knowing how to carry myself at top team meetings, I was looking forward to the end of the day which wasn't until I finished SPTC. 

It was past 7pm and I didn't want to be late for class any further, I logged of my work and was busy replying all the day's messages which I haven't had the chance to response through the day. Lo and behold, he came and walked next to me just as I was about to head down the escalator. Totally unexpected. 

That was surprise No.1 and surprise No.2 was when he tailed me back to my home making sure I'm safely home when I was like a crazy woman with my hand outside of the car telling him to turn right!

The photo supposedly to be the give away but I did not managed to even open it. 

He does make me very happy all the time.

Last Week of December + 2 Weeks into 2020

Wow! It's 2020 already. The futuristic future that I grew up anticipating since I was a kid trying to project how 2020 will look like. Big changes in technology and how modern and digital Malaysia will look like. Well, turns out there aren't many major changes since Y2K days to 2020. I have grown older. Have a smarter handphone. A more digitalised laptop and internet speed but pretty much still the same. Well, thankfully unlike vision 2020, the vision of a new heaven and new earth at the end of the age that will be one that will come true exactly as it is prophesied by the prophets of old. A future that we can look forward to and be assured that it is as it is written. 

So what's up ahead for 2020? 

  1. A deeper relationship with the One who created the Heavens and the Earth
  2. To make known and proclaim that the King of King and Lord of Lords have come on earth and wants to be involved in the lives (be their all in all) of His creation.  
  3. To build a rock solid foundation relationship that is rooted in Christ with DDD
  4. Strengthen unity and ties with the family - immediate and extended ties.
  5. To set-up the structure for the International operations where I work 
  6. Finish Year 2 and Year 3 first half of SPTC 
  7. For the growth of the ministries that I am involved in.

The Month that it was

December is almost at its tail end which also signifies the end of 2019. The year has went by quite fast and so many things has happened this year. It has been a month of catching up with people from far and near but time does not permit to meet everyone. Perhaps 2020, I should take leave at the end of the year to have time to meet up with those returning from overseas, catching up with loved ones and shopping! It is the best time of the year to shop and I'm so sad that I don't have time to shop. 

In the midst of the busyness of catching up, finishing work, completing SPTC assignments, there is that need to spend that extra time with God and this has been one of the greatest challenge. When you're tired and you're mind is not with you to still commit that time with God. This sacred moments are crucial yet it has been quite a challenge to dig in but I know that the busier it gets, the need to lean in to HIM becomes greater. 

I'm going to try to do that from now and the whole of 2020. To lean in, to press in, to stay in the presence of God. O Heavenly Father, keep me forever close to You. Help me to keep my eyes on You and my heart in alignment with Yours always.

Madagascar - A Saturday evening treat with Sugantha, Dal, Esther, Denise, Hou and Mum. The show wasn't great but the company was.

Cousin moments. Sanjeev was around and it's good to build family ties. We did had a lot to talk to each other although we hardly meet. 

My partner in crime. I'm so glad she's no longer teach so we can hang out with each other more. Plus point of her working closeby too. 

The weekend right after 12.12 and I must say it is a good time to shop with the additional 12% on top of the store discounts. Mum and I went for a morning walk at Tasik Permaisuri followed by shopping at MyTown to The Curve and finally to One Utama. She is my best shopping partner. O well, activity partner in general. Maybe, I should do another holiday trip with her!

OA Christmas celebration. We had kids from the village who weren't part of our Saturday group that turned up. Happy that there were more than 40 over children and youth that came. So glad that mum is also part of the OA work now.

Mum's Birthday cum retirement celebration cum thanksgiving went well. The aunties wanted Chinese cuisine so Chinese cuisine it was. I'm so happy that our relatives took the time to come. Love this photo with the cousins from the 6 aunt and 7 aunt family. The non Chinese speaking cousins.

Saturday evening walk in the park. It has been a long long time but I'm glad we did! Not too bad a workout. Here's to many more!

The weekend before Christmas. Crazy funny faces. I'm sure we will have many more crazy, funny, days ahead.

We went looking for shoes and a visit around the mall. It doesn't take much to be happy!

Love this couple. Interesting how we've become such great friends. I really think the reason we're close is because we have God. Work friends are fun but until and unless we can share about what Christ is doing in our lives and appreciate that, it's quite hard to go any deeper. So thankful and blessed that they came down to KL and what a miracle to see Daniel all well. Praise God for His miraculous hand upon this family. 

Christmas day in Church! It is a memorable Christmas day. Spending time with Michelle and Nicole at the mamak. And happy that Sue Ann came. Hope she will start coming to FGA too. 

Christmas lunch at Strawberry fields. Meal times are a great time for fellowship

Someone came over to fetch me from work and accompany me back home on Thursday, 26th which turned out to be a night of toast nuggets and dinner together. He is my delight. May we grow to be more like Christ each day spurring each other on. 

Last Friday of the year! Great to be able to catch up with this ah moi for lunch. Interesting how our lives cross path and we've been friends since. Again, because we have Christ as a common factor. 

Esther's Birthday Celebration on the last Friday of the year. Had house Tosai with Dal just before dinner which made me too full for dinner. 

Last Thursday of the year. It was funny that we thought it was going to rain only to find out it was the Solar Eclipse. 

SPTC final class for 2019. What a joy to be able to dig deep with these peeps. Constantly challenge to know HIM more.
